This is the worst can opener I've ever owned. You have to line the can up just right with the blade in order for it to work properly. Then it also tears bits of paper off the can as it goes around.
I just searched this prob b\c after about 8 yrs of having this opener and it's prob of not opening cans getting worse & worse, I just smashed mine on the floor several times & threw it in the trash. To give myself a reason to buy a new diff brand. I also agree with you "This is the worst can opener I've ever owned". My old hand turn one is even much better than this piece of shite.
