It's high time now.. Each & Every dealer in our country should unite and take some stringent action against these scammers!

It's been years since we met. Absolutely disheartening to learn about your loss. It's easy to advise not to lose hope, but as you mentioned these scammers are real squids in the market. Slippery and tough to catch. I've had several attempts made at me while trying to sell my Mojo. OLX is rife with these packs. They come in various guises - army officers, govt employees, senior citizens gifting their sons, busy businessmen who'll send their reps etc. They lack zero remorse and will do this again and again even if arrested and released on bail. It's the only thing they know and have perfected as an art. Imagine having access to lakhs of soft and easy targets on classified sites because their details are available just like that. This is their version of lightning fast lead generation. That's why they are efficient in their turfs. And Punjab and Haryana... oh bhai. The place is swarming with them. You don't even need sophisticated tracking to find their lot there. On YT is a white guy who regularly hacks fake front offices of scammers to expose them. It takes them months of repeated efforts to actually get the cops to do something. Mostly a raid. Some of them run well established IT businesses with proper PAN and GST, concealing their actual business - scamming. If I must suggest something - you gotta sensationalize this and get the media involved. Only such pressures will get the police force moving. But trust me, digital penetration in India is a lot to be boldly anonymous these days. One really can't disappear in thin air without actually being dead. The man has left enough stink that's enough to trace but what you need is a motivated authority who is pressured to do what they are hired to do

It is sad to see how people fall for all sorts of scams every day. Scammers are always many many steps ahead of people and the system. They keep improvising each time and trick people with the ever-growing "social engineering" methods [To gain trust and achieve their goal]. Although you learned this the hard way, I hope it serves the purpose and helps someone dodge these. The system needs to IMPROVE! Always be vigilant and do not trust someone out of the blue easily coz it is not wrong to double/triple check.

Similar kind of scam happened to me in 2019 But it was related to booking lorry from mumbai to bangalore Same story in my case only difference is it was transport vechicle wich was arround 45k i was in mumbai and mumbai police refused to take case ..
