My thing with Trey Lance is he just doesn’t have that starting experience that a good chunk of QB’s often have. It showed in his time with the 49ers. Given what they traded for to get him, they promptly moved on. Will it work out for Dallas? Remains to be seen, given the cap hell the team is in.

The fact he didn't play is not nescessarily a sign of upside. When you think about it he could not beat out Jimmy G or Purdy, after haveing been with Kyle Shanahan for multiple years. Kyle has decided Purdy was better than Lance and they are in the NFC Championship game with him.....again. He may be hood but Shanahan doesn't think so.

This is the issue with the NFL, cowboys go down by a ton against the packers with 2 healthy back up. Why not try at least one of them?
