The BIBLES definition of edification is not saying nice things about people or “words of appreciation”. The SECULAR, Webster’s Dictionary definition of “edification” is not even “words of appreciation”. Edification is the BUILDING UP of another’s FAITH through reproof and leading them in GODS truth through his written word. It’s a building up of their FAITH. Not of them as a person. Furthermore, another persons “worth” or “value”, as you have repeatedly suggested in this sermon, is NOT based on what another person SAYS to or about them. Their value is based on the evident fact that they were created in the image of God. Our words of “appreciation or depreciation” DO NOT ADD OR SUBTRACT THE VALUE OF THAT PERSON. You’re attributing entirely too much power and authority to your words. Your words are not on level playing field with God. The only place in the Bible that says “you will be LIKE God” is when Satan tempted Eve in the garden. Angels are mentioned over 200 times? Okay, but does God NEED them to carry out his will? This 10’ angel you’ve talked about several times standing behind you with a sword “guarding you” as you “preach” is a really easy way for you to thwart any attempts to question your teachings. That’s what cult leaders do. Stay away from teachers who preach their experiences from the pulpit and take scripture out of context to fit their experiences. Jesus didn’t go to hell. Hell is SPIRITUAL death. Jesus is fully God. He NEVER, not one time, gave up his diety and then “got it back” when he was called out of the grave. If Jesus spiritually died and went to hell, he wouldn’t be God. God cannot die spiritually. This is blatant heresy often used by word of faith preachers like Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and anyone else in that vein, like yourself.

You’re confusing this verse with Romans 2:15 regarding the LAW being written on everyone’s heart. “They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them”. GODS WORD is not written on every mans heart. This can only come from READING GODS WORD. Not speaking it. When Psalm 119:11 speaks of hiding God's word in our hearts, it is not referring only to memorization. This phraseology refers to what we might call internalizing God's word: reading it, studying it, believing it, marinating in it, being filled with it, being shaped by it. If you devalue the word/Bible, you cannot possibly know or understand the true Jesus/living word written within the scriptures.

But herein lies the problem with this belief.... If your wife wrote you a letter where she expresses her deepest desires. Telling you all her hopes and plans for you and your children. All the things that make her happy. The things that upset her. What makes her sad. All the events that have happened in her life since before she met you, she handed it to you and said, “please read this. It will help you have a better understanding of who I am.” And you responded with, “No thanks. I’d rather just kiss you instead.” That wouldn’t make you a very good husband would it? How much moreso with a GOD who created you and wants to tell you about himself through his WORD. Jesus was the final word. God no longer speaks to prophets. He spoke to us finally THROUGH his son. (Hebrews 1:1-3). God cannot and never will use you as his own mouthpiece. That was Jesus’ job. You aren’t Jesus.

If “spoken word” is more important than scripture then anyone can say anything they want and claim it was from God. Scripture is absolutely necessary. 2 Timothy 3:16 “ALL SCRIPTURE is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” We can draw the conclusion from this verse alone that WITHOUT SCRIPTURE YOU CANNOT KNOW WHAT IS TRUE.

Not to mention, Jeremiah 29:11 GOD IS TALKING TO ISRAEL. Not you.

(1:22) you said, “Gods plan is ‘wholeness, health, prosperity’ ?” If that were truly his will, where is your whole hand? This is illogical and therefore untruthful. Since God is truth as Jesus said he was “the way, the truth, the life” that would make you a liar and would mean you’re leading people away from truth and into death. I’ll say it again, where is your whole hand? Gods will is not always physical healing. His ways are not your ways. Clearly.

Also, to say that Jesus went to hell would MEAN HE HAD TO DIE SPIRITUALLY. We can see that all throughout scripture that when a soul ends up in Hell, that is the spiritual death. Not to mention, you’ve drawn that conclusion from extrabiblical sources because you will not find that teaching in the Bible. He was not sent to hell.

This is “little gods theology”. It’s a damnable heresy. We will not be like god. Christian does not mean “little Christ” as you said. It means we put our faith and trust in Jesus as the propitiation for our sin to a Holy and Righteous God. It does not mean we are like Him or we are “little Christ’s”. Genesis tells us we were created in his LIKENESS, it was Satan who said we will be “LIKE” God. Those words are similar, but they mean ENTIRELY different things. Anyone reading this, don’t fall for the original lie. This is literally the oldest lie in the book.

3:50 you quoted the original Hebrew yourself ‘Bara’ means ‘to create from NOTHING’, then you go on to say that He created everything from pieces of himself or from pieces of his energy. This is a contradiction both to what you hold to and also to scripture. If he created everything from pieces of himself, that creates the “little gods theology” that you hold to. We are not part of God or part of his energy. Statements like that actually detract from both Gods diety AND his humanity. God didn’t give his energy to anything and he is not simply just energy.

How then, do you explain material blessings of the multitude of atheists in the world? “You have not because you ask not”, do you understand how damaging that is to a true believer whose watching their child die of cancer? According to YOUR logic, God is punishing them because they’re soul must not be in right relationship with Him OR they’re not asking hard enough for their child to be healed. This is how evil the prosperity gospel is... follow the logic of what he’s actually saying. This is not the true gospel. He, being the final, perfect sacrifice abolished the Old Testament sacrificial system. He died on a cross, suffered the wrath of a perfect, holy, just, righteous, loving, merciful God. Lay in a tomb for three days, NEVER dying a spiritual death or going to hell, and was raised from the dead on the third day. He walked in his glorified body, preached to hundreds, and ascended to sit at the right hand of the Father until his second coming one day. REPENT AND BELIEVE. WANT A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD? 1. Recognize you are a sinner and an enemy to a HOLY God. We all fall short of the glory of God. Nothing you can do will earn his love. 2. Recognize that Jesus was the atoning, perfect sacrifice being fully God and fully man at all times. He laid his life down to pay your debt to a HOLY, PERFECT judge. He was buried and rose again 3 days later overcoming the curse of sin (death) so that whoever believes may have eternal life. 3. Pray however your heart knows how. Ask God for His forgiveness and for his repentance. There are no special words. His repentance is a gift and they are not your works. Saved. After that, God sends his Holy Spirit to live in you convicting of sin and guiding you on your walk as a believer in Christ. Your life will be changed. Some things maybe immediately but most are a slow process known as “sanctification”. You will not repent perfectly, but you’re affections will change and God IS MERCIFUL. The way you think, speak and act as you are in relationship with Him will change you. He doesn’t promise life will be easy. Seek discipleship. Read your Bible. Pray. He is faithful even when we aren’t. Pastor, you are not saved. I really hate to say that. I don’t say it lightly. It’s sad that you have lived so long believing a lie under a false sense of assurance. You have undermined the gospel and are leading, only God knows how many, people into the pit of hell with an international ministry in a third world country and a small, dying church. The only reason God allows your ministry to keep running is because He’s still saving people out of it. Repent. PLEASE. Repent. Don’t be too proud to listen to the truth when you see it. Your own sinful nature is enough to keep you from God. There’s not a demon around every corner waiting to “trick you” into sinning against a holy, perfect, righteous, just, loving God. Your own nature is at enmity with God. You’ll do it without provocation.

But if you bring someone in who can see and says, “hey guys, it’s not a tree, a snake or a leaf. It’s actually an elephant.” Then the blind men can either choose to believe what aligns with reality or they can choose to believe their feeling. Absolute truth isn’t defined by what I think or feel about God or his word or anything else, it’s defined by what aligns with reality and what aligns with truth since that’s the very essence/character/nature of the God of the Bible. A counterfeit predicates the authenticity of the original. What’s the authentic original? The one that aligns with reality. Since Tim obviously, logically knew the answer to the “is this a hand” question but clearly didn’t want to offend you, he attempted to answer diplomatically. I really do mean this respectfully. It’s unfortunate what happened to your hand, but you seem to have adjusted well to living without it by the grace of God. It’s awesome to see that you’ve been able to embrace it. Since you come from a Pentecostal background and I hear you speak from the book of acts often, Acts 17:17 says, “ So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the marketplace every day with those who happened to be there.” Paul reasoned with the religious leaders. So let’s reason here. You call where your hand used to be, a “hand” but it is not a hand. It’s where a hand used to be. Just because you adapted and can use it as a hand and you, personally, refer to it as a hand, doesn’t make it more of a hand in reality. I truly mean no offense in that. But if I were to sew a foot where your hand used to be and it functioned as a hand, it doesn’t make it a hand. It’s a substitute for a hand even if you call it one, even if it “works for you”, it’s not a hand. You softly rebuked Tim, who clearly understands what the truth answer was but didn’t want to offend you, and you said his logic was incorrect. I’m not being unkind here, I’m stating what is objectively true. I’m doing it gently. You are not the final authority of what is true. Even as it pertains to your own body.

Nowhere in GODS WORD does it say we “share the very DNA of God”. No we don’t. This is called “little gods doctrine” and its a dangerous heresy.

7:42 “Gods will is for me to prosper, succeed and be healthy.” 3 John 1:2 is a greeting from John to Gaius wishing him good health. IT IS NOT God saying it’s HIS WILL for all of humanity to be healthy, successful, and prosperous on earth as you are stating. You’re abusing the words of your creator. Repent.

You cannot possibly ever love the way that God loves. He, in his very nature, is love. He is perfect. Therefore he does things we cannot because we aren’t perfect, love is just one of them. Even with the Holy Spirit, we are still flawed beings. We will never ever amount to God or “little gods”. When you say it’s possible for us to love like God, you remove the need for sanctification and the work of the Holy Spirit. You said, “God does not envy” He does envy. “For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God” (Exod. 34:14) If my husband started talking to another woman and started dating her, by YOUR standard of Agape love, it would be wrong of me to be envious. Envy has its place, even (and especially) for a perfect embodiment of Love, like GOD, himself.

Jesus did not set aside his glory in heaven to come to earth and receive it back. Jesus voluntarily set aside his divine attributes he emptied himself of his divinity to take on the form of a servant being born in the likeness of men. He did not empty him self of his divine nature or like you said glory. He was truly God and could not stop being God. He left his fathers throne that’s what he emptied himself of. He emptied himself of his position, his exaltation so that he could take on flesh, to live in perfect obedience, so that he could die on the cross and accomplish redemption. He never emptied himself of his divinity or GLORY. Second point Jesus didn’t receive glory when he was baptized. The Bible said it was to fulfill all righteousness. By his baptism Jesus fully identified with his people as their representative. It was also an act of obedience. Jesus didn’t have to receive his glory back because it never left him.

JESUS NEVER LAID ASIDE HIS GLORY. He is and always was GOD. He NEVER LAID IT DOWN.
