Look at all the burial spot of all the former presidents. Grant is royal presidential. Lincoln and James Monroe most impressive. Amazing how many are normal size graves in small country church cemetery on some county road highway.

Bet the smell was overwhelming. He had began to smell and turn black by time the funeral tour was complete and the first burial had taken place. Embalming didn’t began until the civil war time period. Guess he was not given the service upon his death.

He was good man

My great-grandfather was 3 months old when Lincoln was assassinated and his wife my great-grandmother passed away when I was 16. Her father was a Yankee colonel in the civil War. She never mentioned him much because here in Arkansas he was on the wrong side is she there was too fond of that either😊
