Horizontal compactor is located at the end of wire rod mill line,which has the ability to automatically compress and bind the coil for further transportation to the shipping and loading area.
The C-hook Carrier system infeeds the coil into the compactor and outfeeds from the compactor.
When compacting starts, the lifting table of the compactor lifts the coil (with hook in place), while the press plates compress the coil and the feeding unit feeds the binding strip across the wire guide through the coil, when the binding strip re-enters into the binding head, the movable clamp of binding head clamps the strip and the feeding unit stretches the strip until the strip comes onto the coil, and then the binding head press the ends of the strip to form a knot to bind the coil.
When binding completes, the binding head cuts the strip at feed end and the press plates open to the initial position and the coil is lowered back onto the hook and transported out.
