The impeller washers that are really efficient are those from Brazil. There the clothes washers are very well designed

"Impeller" machines don't clean even lightly soiled clothes properly. It leaves behind lint and hairs, yuk!!! Sheets and towels gets badly twisted together, how can it clean like that? It is necessary to set it for extra rinse and heavy bulky items so cycle times are nearly an hour. They are a failed design. Five years from now they won't even be sold because they have been so poorly received by consumers like us.

I had a washing plate with my previous Samsung washer hated that piece of shit! I found a Insignia washing machine with a agitator(Made by Electrolux) and i going to stay with Agitator like i had before.!

I just bought a brand new Samsung and was given the option of agitator or impeller. I went for the impeller because agitators always tore up any of my shirts with thin straps, bra straps, or pants with drawstrings. The washer I am replacing is a front loader that we absolutely hated having because it constantly leaked and the seal was hard to keep mold free. Our clothes are never heavily soiled so I think the impeller will work great for us. We'll see when it gets here.

I have Cabrio top load impeller washer and it sucks. It does not clean my clothes. I could care less about “gentle” on my clothes. If I have something delicate I will hand wash it.

Thanks my brother. I just purchased a Maytag impeller. I am old school and was always used to an agitator model. Since it uses less water, the impeller doesn’t circulate clothes around the machine as well as the agitator. And I noticed the clothes have the tendency to remain in the position you loaded them in. It seems although there are 2 water levels, most times it will be necessary to use the higher water level otherwise the clothes move very little. At this moment , I am considering returning this impeller for an agitator model. To me unless the clothes are visually moving, I’m not convinced they are getting clean. Your video was a huge help . Thank you.

I HATE the impeller. I feel like my clothes are NEVER clean. Once I move I'm going to sell my set and get a front load. Preferably one large enough for blankets. It's worth the money

The theoretical movement of clothing does not happen in the impeller machine is what I found. Clothes sat in one spot so all the rubbing of the impeller blades happened to only a few items. Even when I manually added significantly more water the cleaning was little better than dunking them into a 5 gallon bucket, letting them soak a bit and then doing the same with rinse water. Clothes picked up the perfume from the soap so they smelled cleaner but it's all a hoax.

I didn’t know anything about impeller washers until my daughter talked about hers today. My washer is a 1989 Kenmore. I’ve replaced the dog-ears twice.

Just got a GE profile top load with an agitator. I think GE lies. the bottom of the tub is a impeller with a "stick" shooting up the middle. Their agitator only does anything when it is deep filled ALL THE WAY. I will keep looking for an old school agitator.

There are plenty of people in forums and videos saying that the new washing machine agitators are fake agitators and are in reality just elongated tall impellers pulsators that look like agitators but are not.

I DO NOT like the IMPELLER, it does NOT get my clothes clean, and sometimes it even leave white stuff on them. I have one now and can't wait to get a new washer with an agitator... THE IMPELLER SUCKS!!! And don't even get me started on Front Load... wouldn't have one if the most expensive one was given to me... they SMELL after a while, that is why people have to use those "fragrance additives"! Just my opinion!

I can't do front load machines anymore. The mold that grows inside is insane. The door has to remain open to avoid mold and it just makes it a huge inconvenience

Impeller machines work well, but smudges on clothes must be removed before the wash. Moreover, clothing should be dropped evenly and loosely in the wash basin to avoid imbalances during the spin cycles.

All this modern technology is a waste and a ripoff. Anything with a lot of gizmos breaks down way more often and expensive to fix. People are easily fooled and programmed to buy this stuff, as if it is necessary for survival or it makes you cool, and people will like you more if you got a lot of electronic gizmos. You dont need it. You dont need a fancy smart phone or any of that stuff, someone is just programming you, and robbing you blind with that nonsense. None of these new tech washers last near as long as older ones with no gizmos.

The fact that you don't have a dog in this race is why I deliberately ferreted out your video & opinion. Thank you very much your explanation, bye the way.

Impeller are useless as tits on a bull. I TOSSED MY LAME Wimppool for a Speed Queen 5 years ago.. it is a tank!! Just replace my pisspool dryer with a $1,400 speed queen...just last week. Zero point zero LED, or Electronics!! BUY it right 1st, once and done for at least 15 years.
