For such simple means, he sure had a way with composition. I feel like a kid fascinated by heavy machinery - bulldozers, road graders, steam shovels and cranes, the bigger the better. Yet, at the same time there’s a meditative quality about his work. One of my favorite painters.

I feel nature was what inspired part of Kline's development but the music helps to ground the art to the human world. I do love the paintings.
