I performed transatlantic trip from Heathrow to JFK - ua-cam.com/video/mV8gwBkahNA/v-deo.html The solar eclipse was visible 1 hour and 40 minutes after takeoff till to landing at JFK. I don't know if FGFS can simulate an eclipse, if so it will be a nice experience.

@@ylateam6293 yeah! That plane is quite heavy in terms of graphics. But I'm amazed that how mac is not able to handle it. I have integrated standard graphics card. It was running at 6-7 fps. I would suggest you to change airport. Try some airport with less elements, like Tallinn airport. You can easily get some good fps there.

how do you predict the top of descent point?
Hi! A rule of thumb for me is: (current altitude / 300) + ((current speed - 250 knots) / 15)! So let’s say im flying at 37,000ft at mach 0.84 (about 280 knots at that altitude), i’ll descent from (37,000 / 300) + ((280 - 250) / 15) = 123 + 2 = 125 NM out! This gives u a gud estimate! Hope this helps!

U just gotta check that u turned terrasync on in setting and then if u hv gud internet connection in the meantime, that’s all u need! If u wanna download the whole scenery package, the link is here: www.flightgear.org/download/scenery/. Beware though, it takes up like 150GB of ur storage!!!

Hi! If you’re using a Macbook, DON’T use Atmospheric Lighting System (ALS, which is the one I used), u should use Rembrandt instead. But if you’re using a Window platform or basically anything that isn’t MacOS, u should use ALS. Hope this helps!

I always wondered if the flight is in real-time or can you speed it up?
It is in real time, i actually left my computer up and running for 15 hrs or so straight! I sped the video up by 200x so this is what the result is!
