Ensuring the safety and longevity of your gadgets is crucial. One effective way to protect your devices like tablets and iPods is by applying tempered glass. This guide will walk you through the steps to correctly apply tempered glass on your gadgets, ensuring a bubble-free and secure fit.
Materials Needed
Tempered glass screen protector
Cleaning wipes (wet and dry)
Dust absorber sticker
Installation guide stickers
Soft cloth or microfiber cloth
Plastic card or squeegee
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace
Ensure that you are working in a clean, dust-free environment. A well-lit area will help you see any dust particles or bubbles that may appear during the application process.
Step 2: Clean the Screen
Turn Off Your Device: This will help you see the screen more clearly and prevent any accidental touches.
Use the Wet Wipe: Thoroughly clean the screen of your device using the wet wipe provided in the kit. This will remove any oils, fingerprints, and smudges.
Dry the Screen: Follow up with the dry wipe to remove any moisture left on the screen.
Remove Dust Particles: Use the dust absorber sticker to pick up any remaining dust particles. Even a single speck of dust can cause bubbles.
Step 3: Align the Tempered Glass
Peel Off the Protective Layer: Carefully peel off the protective film from the adhesive side of the tempered glass.
Align the Glass: Hold the tempered glass by its edges and align it with the device’s screen. Ensure that the cutouts for the home button, camera, and sensors are perfectly aligned.
Use Installation Guide Stickers: If available, use the installation guide stickers to help position the tempered glass accurately.
Step 4: Apply the Tempered Glass
Lower the Glass: Slowly lower the tempered glass onto the screen. Start from one end and let it gently adhere to the screen.
Press in the Center: Once the tempered glass is in position, press down in the center of the screen. This will help the adhesive spread outwards and stick to the screen.
Step 5: Remove Air Bubbles
Use a Plastic Card or Squeegee: If air bubbles are present, use a plastic card or squeegee to gently push them towards the edges of the screen. Work from the center outwards.
Smooth the Edges: Ensure that the edges of the tempered glass are firmly pressed down and there are no remaining bubbles or gaps.
