Alot of those people leave the birds in small travel cages like that on a daily basis. It's disgusting. Birds should absolutely not live in cages like that. My baby never ever sits in a cage unless he wants to.

Would have been better if you went a little slower & showed the prices. Didnt happen til the end, but i liked seeing the birds.

All the empty space is sad. Back in the late 80s and early 90s, there would be 2 buildings, crammed with birds and all the goods.

Love the road trip. Thank you. Simi is our home town. We drive there very frequently still to hike the hills and visit family. Although we left because Simi has never been in acceptance to Native Americans we were pushed out by prejudice. But we love Simi but very few know the history of Simi Valley once known as Shimi named by our Chumash People meaning Valley of the winds. As the ocean used to lead up to the mountains as ships came in and our Chumash People rode in our canoe boats... Tamal to go fishing. The hills of Simi Valley are protected by landowners and still hold our history from village sites to cave paintings. If you want to learn more about the history of Shimi please feel free to message.
