You’ve a weird bias against swordmasters and archers, they’re specialist units. It’s like being mad your hammer wont cut wood. They’re designed to do a job and half the fun is tactically manipulating the fight where they shine. I find the op units that one shot boring compared to the units with limitations.

As much as love this game it NEVER actually LEFT the PS1 Era it never got a PSN port on the PS3 PS4 Vita and theirs no Switch port/remaster of it or the crappy 2nd PS2 game either.

I hated this game for the longest at how hard it was as a kid and I wasn't into RPGs at the time but I ended up really liking it and I'm shocked and happy people are still playing it and people are even editing the game. I honestly wouldn't be upset if they remastered this game and I'd def. buy it.

I played hard mode about a year ago. And it killed me xD BUT it was fun. I also played the original game as a child and so I have some good memories of it, and I have a place for it in my heart. I later played the japanese version, hard mode AND one randomizer run for youtube videos. But all of my commentary is in german xD so nevermind that...

If you ever restart, I have some secret hunting hints . . . . A cat has nine lives, but what happens when they run out. 13 is a rather odd number in child 13's name, I wonder why. Those paintings were odd, what if they were to be recreated? The trader trades animals for pelts, but what if something were to happen to those pelts, what would the trader do to the animals. This one I'm actually just curious about, would the prospector stike his own mule if you bring it to your side of the field.

Act 3 was my least favorite. Energy is the most boring resource system of the 4 since its the hardest to manipulate and doesn't interact with the board at all. However, I'm convinced the dev knew that and thats why PO3 is such an obnoxious ass about how great him and his system are.

Fun fact, you had a ring during that trial. Both the Ouroboros and the Ringworm would have satisfied the condition, as they are both rings.

In the fog of war map, you were literally not even trying to see how mia was doing against axe users and only once or twice put her against mages (where she actually one-shot mages and got a bad level which can happen to everyone). Than you keep praising boyd while he was literally ass on every single encounter you tried to pit him against. He couldn't double anyone and was doing pathetic single hits where he had a high chance of getting hit by retaliation. At one point you pit her against a SPEAR soldier and she only had 30% chance to be hit..... Then, you keep justifying your bias about mia sucking by trying to put her against spear generals.... well of course she doesn't do well against generals, you pit mia against her worst matchup while IGNORING LITERALLY everything else she can do than conclude she sucks . Concluding Mia sucks cuz she does bad against generals is literally the same as putting Gatrie against Mages. In fact Mia will likely do far far better against generals than Gatrie will do against Mages. Point is everyone has bad matchups and while in PoR there's good reasons to why mia is not good they are not applicable in Radiant Dawn. Mia is by every objective meter superior to Boyd in Radian Dawn, it's not even remotely comparable. Boyd vs Mia Growths Mia hp - 70% (20% higher than in path of radiance) str - 45% (5% higher than in path of radiance) mag -15% (15% lower than in path of radiance but irrelevant) skill -60% (15% higher than in path of radiance) speed-65% (5% higher than in path of radiance) luck -35% (10% lower than in path of radiance, her only relevant lower growth) def -40% (20% higher than in path of radiance) res -25%(sameas Path of Radiance) Boyd Radiant Dawn hp 80% str 65% mag 5% skill 45% luck 40% speed 45% def 50% res 10% Mia total growths - 355% (with 15% in magic which is irrelevant so 340% effective growths) Boyd total growths - 340% (with 5% in magic which is irrelevant so 335% effective growths) Furthermore, here's their starting stats and how they compare 110 total stats when u get her first (mag not included) with 34 hp 96 total stats when you first get him (mag not included) with 45 hp Boyd only real advantage is in his constitution which in Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance only matter for rescuing and while Boyd can rescue heavier opponent's he is still not mounted as a result he still sucks as a Saviour especially since his speed is ass and if he gets attacked, he gets absolutely destroyed carrying someone. In Radiant Dawn weapon weight is calculated against strength not against CON as a result mia having only 7 Con is irrelevant for her combat efficiency because she has enough str when u first get her to use pretty much any weapon in the game

So a quick google gives me results of week 13 as the furthest anyone has claim to have reached on survival hell. Looks like a debt of 9 million. Might take a while, but I think you could make a reasonable attempt at it if you were ever motivated.

Bro i really like ur voice acting but its so disruptive constantly stopping in the middle of the voiced cutscenes to read chat and talk about whatever.... Just read it after u done the cutscenes and doing gameplay.... and by the way things are going ull be doing this for the entire lets play, what a damn shame since i really liked this romhack and lets play, maybe something to think about for future projects. 😔

Ya know, I hate the stereotype that guys don't cook, or that cooking isn't masculine. Knives and fire(or reasonable replacements) are involved, and being good at it is a massive reward to life satisfaction and monetary savings that anyone could enjoy.

Chandra being recruitable is one of my favorite parts of the hack. One of the best written characters in the game for sure.

A shining force 1 draft is interesting to think about. Tao absolutely is a high-priority pick due to the skeletons taking almost no damage otherwise, and I think Khris is an underrated pick due to Gong and Lowe being that much worse as healers. Everyone else pre-Zylo has an reasonably close equivalent (except Diane cause Hans is Hans) so it becomes more of a game of cat and mouse. I’d probably take Khris if I don’t pick 1st cause even assuming rando is picking 3rd, I’d be guaranteed Mae at worst, and that’s if rando gets lucky picking Luke *and* Gort. That’s also assuming the initial force is free at least until the desert, if not through the chapel fight.
