Sculptured out of volcanic activity and thousands of years in the making, Wai-O-Tapu is considered to be New Zealand's most colourful and diverse geothermal sightseeing attraction. You are introduced to a uniquely different natural landscape -- the key to what you see lies below the surface -- one of the most extensive geothermal systems in New Zealand.
The Visitor Centre is the gateway to the Thermal Area. It is from the Visitor Centre that tickets for the Thermal Area and Lady Knox Geyser are purchased.
Within the Visitor Centre is the retail area where there is an extensive range of souvenirs and gifts. The Geyser Cafe is a self-serve cafe where a range of hot and cold food and beverage is available with both indoor and outdoor seating.There are 3 disabled parking spaces a drop off and pick up area.

Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland- New Zealand's most colourful volcanic area, Located in Rotorua, New Zealand.
This isn’t a real geyser if it is man induced.
It would erupt naturally anyway, this is just a way to time it conveniently. Would be a bummer to sit there for hours with it deciding not to go off until after you've left.

What a unique place on Earth. Can't wait to take my family there. I wonder how hot that mud gets on the surface.
