Oh most definitely. I wasn't entirely sold on using the entire sample for the beginning of the track but I ended up using it for the full beat so like the idea of the track ties together better if you're unaware of why the "turn that unc shit off" line plays a role in the title. That's besides the point - Kanye has evolved with the genre as it has aged anyways lol

I just get in my head! It's like the piano I'm using I always use. It's bothering me that I feel like it sounds like every other beat I've made recently even though I rotate the presets, the reverbs and how I eq it. I'll probably go digging for some kontakt vsts later to see if I can find something to swap it out with. Just wanna make sure I keep it fresh and don't fall into the trap of reusing the same sounds(even if it does work lol)!

All original unless it's a remix/stated that there's a sample. Most of my early work is sampled. Drums are sampled on everything for sure lol but nah I write my own melodies and chords, vocals are typically samples from splice.

Watch any trap tutorial and it's about the drums

@@Ropsu1 brotha, you can hate it if you want! It won't kill me, I promise. But nah, it's not exactly like you can hear it in any kind of high definition but the drums are synthetic. That's where the separation is(trap doesn't use acoustic sounds). The pattern on the hihats has that pitch shifting. That is where my classification is coming from. There's a whole subgenre of country trap. I mean tbh, this is as pop as it gets. Sampling a country track that gets white people amped and throwing some 808s over it lmao but I haven't settled on the sound selection yet either. Sorry if I came across aggressive 😅

@@shalev550prod that was done on purpose. The arrangement of the chops are very chaotic. So you keep the drums less on the energetic side and it gives you that driving feel that the guitar is putting down.

They’d also prob be more exciting if you heard them the way they are instead of through a laptop speaker recorded on a phone

Gimme about an hour or so! Gonna upload the beat in HD on here so that way you can actually hear everything lol There is a bass line, just playing it through laptop speakers right here. I did attempt mixing my bass differently on this one tho. So how on Billie Eilish's Bad Guy her bass gets super distorted at the end, well I tried to switch it up and there's some distortion on the verse, and then it cranks all the way on the hook. Hopefully the mix is decent(I'm mixing with studio headphones and I didn't bother testing this track on different speakers other than listening through my laptop 😬)

@@deathprime66-6 the way I reacted to this scene as a kid was the exact way I reacted to finding out about death when I was like 6-7. Surrounded by my family at Christmas, and they made fun of me for hysterically crying(probably wasn't that bad but it's a core memory that messes with me from time to time especially when my mom's on that nobody would care if I died BS)

I may eventually do more to the mix(it really needs some work on the vocals but after hearing the song 1000 times in a 48 hour period, you get tired of hearing it, that and ear fatigue got me bad 🤦‍♂️). Also had to have the hook reworked 3-4 times with different vocalists I was so over it lol the other versions were TERRIBLE, this one has like 1-2 lines that are out of key, but it isn't the worst 🤷‍♂️
