For some reason this movie was a huge part of my early adulthood. So many memories in the sound tracks.

The aspect of this film that really resonated with me was the idea of going back to a place you identified as "home" only to feel as if what you thought was home no longer feels that way. It makes me very sad to feel that way sometimes, but life is all about change and learning to accept and adapt.

His soundtrack choices deserved that Grammy

When I had an hour commute to and from work I'd put the Garden State sound track on a lot and just zone. One of the best movie soundtracks imo. Iconic.

I watched this film like 100 times, it is so underrated. Its poetic, true, authentic and the soundtrack ❤ this movie changed my perspective on life

This song is so representative of what we have ALL gone through the last few years. Very touching and wise. "Let go & jump in, it's alright there's beauty in the breakdown."

I always was annoyed with how they edited his father’s voice in the beginning. Started off “natural” then just a bad fuckin edit.

When I saw this movie, I realized two things. 1 is that I'm in love with Samantha ahah and that's my favorite type of girl and 2 is that I'll never meet a girl like her.

I'm disappointed that I didn't watch this movie sooner. But even better I watched it when I'm 26 like he is in the film. It was the perfect movie to watch for me at this point in time in my life.
