Just watched all 3 seasons in one big marathon over a few days. I thought the casting was perfect. If they made Gus look too much like an odd mutation it might have reduced the empathy from the audience. The idea of people wanting to capture and dissect such an innocent looking kid is what really gives you a profound "wtf" feeling throughout the series. I haven't read the comic version but I thought the character Jepperd hit exactly the correct tone. Everybody around them were void of ethics, his character seemed more fleshed out than having some goon trying to sell a boy for a corpse. I don't think the comic Jepperd would ever have redemption from the point of view of the audience. I never felt any empathy for Dr. Singh when he later reappeared in the series after having dissected the other kids, there was no coming back from that, the character is permanently damaged.

This is What I Like about Adaptations! This Show is willing to tell a Story that’s about the Savageness and Manipulative motives of Mankind! All without Being a Display of Physical Aggression! Compared to the GN, Acting subtles of the Main and Side cast of characters is really on-point! Showing how elder cast of Jepp, Aimee, and Becky/Bear are driven by Selfish Motivations…only to end up realizing that Their not Enemies to each other! And it takes looking at Gus, Wendy (and Co.), Literal Children to see that they Are in the Wrong! That Past Events Does Not dictate Anyone’s Standing in life! People are Bullheaded, Ignorant, Selfish, Bitter, and just Scared… but they are still people. It’s people like the Abbott of the Last Men who truly are the personification of Evil in the world! And it’s not hard to see why, especially when you have a Tyrant who’s sole goal is Control and Oppression, how he’s not about Curing the Disease but using it as a Means to Obtain his Ideal world!

the comic was no masterpiece by any means, but It was better than the show, at least, the story was more interesting

Bear does exist in the comics she’s just Becky there’s no bear, Lucy and Tommy have a completely different relationship, sweet tooth’s dad is pretty different and not a cackling madman, birdy doesn’t exist in the comics really, Bobby can talk , is nowhere near as cute and has sweet tooth’s seance of smell in the comic, Lucy met Tommy in the milita camp and then kinda just appears with Becky. I also have a feeling they’re gonna skip Becky getting tied to a chair forced to drink alcohol under age and almost getting sexually assaulted, I really enjoyed the comic and the show is definitely a good watch it’s just not a direct adaptation

My big beef with Amber isn't her race change is that they totally assassinated what little character she had in the comic. It's sort of like how they change Lola Bunny from the first Space Jam movie to a boy crazy stalker in the Looney Tunes animated series instead of a competitive athlete with I don't want to say self-esteem issues but she was very intent on people representing her the way she wanted to be represented

i was very much looking forward to watching this to get the recap. Instead i got a drawn out video I couldn't finish because it was more about the recappers than the recap. Stick to the recap quick and easy you will get a lot more views. I get the whole 10 minute video for ads, but there is a reason this video popped up almost first on my YT search and only has 700 views. way too slow

My brother worked on this show as Max’s body double! The whole cast is so fun just like the show!

The big difference for me was Carmine Falcone actually figured out Bruce Wayne was Batman and as he dies at the end, asks Batman "Do you still believe in Gotham?" That totally rewrote the entire story.

I never put the two collectors together. MCU and TrekVerse being so difference and all.

Great videos!! How could you not mention the prisoner transport scene?? The comic is only walking through the sewer. In the movie they play off of The Dark Knight’s rendition of this scene. Dark Knight: Gordon in disguise as SWAT, transporting Dent who gets attacked by Joker LH movie: Batman in disguise as SWAT, transporting Sal Maroni who gets attacked by Dent The homage is fantastic.

I like the comic so much more. How they got to dopey comedy I have no idea. The show is ok, but, such a waste. Haven't watched any more since the girl power episode. Ugh...

I had never heard of this show until I stumbled across it on a local TV network's streaming service . I watched the first two episodes last night and was hooked. I have set aside this weekend to binge the first two seasons . I LOVE THIS SHOW !

You should do an update video and highlight that, with the Hallmark "Keepsake Power Cord" each crew figure says lines from the "Mirror Universe" episode. In addition, while some comment on Lt. Uhura's officer uniform from this episode. Many forget that, this is the same type of uniform worn by all Klingon female officers throughout the TV series in episodes where, they are present. And, I enjoy watching them all (smile...smile).

The scenes where he shows an unhealthy love for Jerry Orbach always get me laughing! The scene where he learns English from Law and Order was great. Alan Tudyk is great in this role
