29th Dec 2024 - Charity Tractor run from Poynton to Hayfield via Marple come through Low Leighton in New Mills, High Peak to raise money for Charities . Ot a spectacular noisy affair to see so many old and new passing by. Part two will be on their return run, look out for my next video.

18th December 24 - Stockport 220.012 arrives on 1M29 0901 Bristol to Manchester Piccadilly, and departs. 67010 arrives on 1W55 0853 (note new time), Cardiff to Manchester Piccadilly Dvt 82227 and set HD 06. 390.154 comes into Platform 2 on 1155 to Euston as 390.040 on 1H22 0953 Manchester Piccadilly to Euston, then both depart.

18th December 24 - 220.003 departs on 1025 Manchester Piccadilly to Bournemouth. 67029 "Royal Diamond" Dvt 82220 on set HD 05 arrives on 1V39 1030 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff. 323.207 passes on 0955 Stoke to Manchester Piccadilly in EM Liverey, then 67029 departs. We walk down from platform 3 to the underpass and up to platform 2.

11th December 24 60026"Helvellyn" brings 6E09 0726 Liverpool Biomass to Drax through Stockport platform 3 in a haze of exhaust. Makes a nice change from a class 66.

4th December 24. A clean 67010 arrives in platform 2 at Stockport, with set HD07 Dvt 82230 which is the last of the 822xx sets. It waits with 1V42- 1230 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff as 323.234 arrives in platform 3 on 2H67 1155 Stoke on Trent to Manchester Piccadilly, before departing onwards to Crewe.

30th Nov 2020 at New Mills Newtown station. We had been clearing the dead stuff from the gardens that we "The Friends of New Mills Stations" keep nice. The large pictures are of scenes around New Mills that the group had commissioned. At a cold damp Chinley 0n 23rd Nov 24 B1 61306 "Mayflower" approaches as she heads towards Chinley North on 1Z82 0517 Barrow in Furness to York, running some 41 minutes late. Taken by Neil Fridlington a good mate and many thanks for his permission to show his video. 57311? Brings up the rear.

23rd Nov 24. New Mills South. Part 2 After a glitch with the camera we see "Mayflower" climbing away past Gowhole with I think 57311 looking very ex works. The train is running some 41 minutes late, and I'm cold and wet, as it started raining minutes before the train came! Huge contrast to Wednesday when I got "Blue Peter", see earlier video.

23rd Nov 24 . At a wet cold New Mills South Junction 61024 Mayflower" approaches the home signal as 185.109 144 pass on 1B72 0919 Liverpool to Cleethorpes. At a freezing New Mills South Junction waiting for Blue Peter. 13th Nov 2024 at a very cold Stockport Station as 67014 Dvt wait with 1V42 the 1230 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff, before setting off with the black rake of Mk5's HD07. As the 67 dissappear in the distance Pendo 390.115 "Crewe, All Change" arrives in platform 3 on 1H65 1033 Euston to Manchester Piccadilly running some 8 minutes late hence the passing of the 67 which was on time.

Mystery train turned out to be 1A21 0935 Manchester Piccadilly to Euston. Cancelled at Stockport due to a tilt fault. Ecs to Edgeley No2 box, then ecs to Longsight Emd. Thanks to Kev for info.

Not as yet, its for storage. Hopefully they will be reused, they are certainly needed.
37901 used to be a preserved locomotive i seen in in 2015 at the east lancs railway in bury so it's either on hire to R.O.G or they bought it from preservation! nice unusual sounding loco 🥰
If only TFW didn't get rid of them! I went on one once and it was so smooth, probably smoother than the new 197s
