Hey Einstein. Quit moaning that you have to mix it. It is a lot more cost-effective for them to sell it in a powder form and put it into one small plastic container. If that 1600 G. container makes 10 gallons, that would mean you have to Lug 10 gallons into your home, and A lot more plastic containers that they would have to supply, not to mention a lot more waste in our landfills. Instead you mix it yourself and they are passing the savings onto you. You should have paid a little bit more attention in your economics class.

For some odd reason mine is not turning on after I put water in the back sump it’s not turning on idk what’s going on because the first time I got it I used it on my 40 gallon and it kept overflowing no matter how many times I adjusted the water level so I just put it up but now I want to use my 10 gallon but it is not working I don’t know why

I’m setting up a new 90Ltr Tank with plants and just two fancy goldfish. Iam going to make a plenum, putting a layer of K1 ( plastic filter media) on the bottom of the tank and then placing the plenum on top, then three inches of kitty litter, aqua soil and gravel topped. I’m hoping the surface area of the K1 will work well, what do you think?

Good nutrient export.....the nitrates that it takes to grow that algae is NOT going into your tank....and every time you throw those clumps away you complete the export process so it can begin again. It took me forever to figure out what exactly proper nutrient import/export really is. All a refigium does is provide a place for algae to grow outside of the display tank....for every clump of algae that's growing in the refugium...that's another clump that's NOT in your display tank.

I recently capped it with white pool filter sand. I usually use dirt and sand- but I’m having a hard time with the dirt popping through when I live a plant or vac. This happens in spots where the sand thinned out all the sticks and vermiculite float around and look disgusting. So I thought I could use this planted tiny clay ball stuff instead of dirt .. so I did. I only tried it in a 3 gal cube and it’s working okay. The stem plants without roots will end up floating until they grow roots.. annoying but no more accidental dirt cloud !

I want to know if I have mbuna or peacock i bought as 3 peacock cichlid but I think it's mbuna because I saw a color less female peacock in there but I bought the yellow ones only and they were more expensive because I thought I was buying the 10 dollar peacock cichlids but I think bought the 15 dollar mbunas I'm actually happy because I prefer mbuna but I did buy a peacock that I know is a peacock at another pet store and he's getting bullied and he's staying away in the corner but the pet store never had a sign telling me they were mbunas
