It varies for each version(I think...don't quote me on that though) This is specifically for Vegas 7 and/or below. I have no idea for versions 8 and above. Sorry. >.<

Seriously, thank you a million times over. This problem was the biggest piss-off I've encountered in quite a while. Whoever programmed Vegas to allow the box to spawn beneath the taskbar needs to be whacked upside the head.

I have a problem with sony vegas 11 , When i add effects the Video Event Show opens but the Effect Box is grey and nothing come up' CHECK OUT MY VIDEO ON MY CHANNEL TO UNDERSTAND THIS PROBLEM! PLEASE HELP

@extremehardy360 Oh so you already tried what I showed you? If so then try checking the Video Fx box back on. I think its in the "view" tab. If you still dont see it then repeat this video (make sure you still have video fx checked.

@MsMakeupEmma oh wait ignore what I said. Soft Shadow is in Media Generators. you have to drag Soft Shadow into a track. Then right click and choose "edit Generated Media..." if it doesn't appear automatically already.

@MsMakeupEmma Your trying to change your text? Hm, lets see if I can remember.... Wait a sec. Im gonna download Vegas again now...kk you drag whatever sample text thing you want to the video board thing ma jig and then do all the editing then. I downloaded Vegas 10 so Im just going off of that.

i dont get it :( i dragged the Soft shadow box in media generators, im trying to change the text from sample text, but when i click 'generated media' NOTHING happens *huh*

@SadiaIffate Sorry for getting back at you so late. I would try checking "video fx" back on. I sadly don't remember the tab but I believe it was "view". Then if you still don't see it after checking it repeat this video and you should find it. =')
