What's happened in Denver with the housing market and everything is totally absurd total greed that's all there is to it there's no houses worth their rent for apartments out there I live there I know Denver's beautiful that's for sure but the housing market is just outrageous totally out of line

I lived there for 30 years I moved I want to come back I can't afford to live there no more two jobs in Colorado you'd be lucky to make ends meet I work two jobs in the 80s 90s and 2000s and still barely got by

I have worked there for 20 years. If you don't mind the tranq zombies ,people pooping and urinating wherever they want to. You may wake up to a homeless encampment in front of your house that will be there for at least 6 weeks. After all that, this area has not been the same after covid and BLM riots. It is pretty dead now. It is a shame, it shouldn't be like this.

I avoid Denver. It’s full of Californians, there’s congested traffic everywhere 24/7, and I can find good nightlife, bars and coffee shops up here in Boulder County or Larimer County, or up north in general. It’s not the same as it was 14 years ago. A one bedroom or studio apartment is 1600 while a 3br apartment is $3500. It’s too much!! I’ve lived all over from Parker to Longmont and the one bad neighborhood I lived in (Coronado and Washington area) I got out of because the people I lived with were abusive. I currently reside in Erie.

Very high taxes. High food prices. Dozen eggs? That will be $12.00 Oh and the smell of weed is everywhere. Welcome to Colorado.

I grew up in CO in the 70s. the Springs! 3 miles down I from the Air force Acadamy ! It was perfect!

I remember when Castle Rock was tiny enough nthe70#! One motel. Our car broke down he Acadamy Bombs and our car needed an overnight repair. One moteln! So big now! Mmy

City of Arvada is becoming the worst place to live, we live 60th and ward, got t-boned accident there that people going 60mph on ward, I clocked 64th west and east at ward…. 55-65 mph. Accidents been accumulating 58th and Kipling, 58th and ward and 64th and ward. Traffic getting bad when drivers wanted beat the red lights. What makes me furious is group of police officers practicing directions on busy Kipling and 58th. My wife said… never seen Arvada grown so fast and crowded. Apartments going up like crazy. City of Arvada government doesn’t know what they doing just dollar signs in their eyes and rising taxes. Another thing… homeless is on the rise. Hard for us seniors enjoy life here anymore.

What are your thoughts on Capitol Hill currently? I got offered a really good sublease option there..but worried about the safety and with a dog there. The lease terms are perfect though

Keep this to yourself please. My drive time to the mountains has doubled the past 10 years. Why do you feel like you have to tell the whole world about Colorado. Quit yapping about where I live and maybe we can keep Colorado halfway affordable and livable.

Truly city folks for sure. Y’all gave zero reasons to not move to there. Sounds like an amazing place. The things you said were negatives are positives to many these days. Regarding to travel come to Texas if you think an hour drive sucks you can’t drive through some cities in an hour.

Biggest differences that I have noticed; 1. Yellow lights are 3-5 seconds too short. 2. Parking lots are over-engineered. Lanes and channels to direct traffic instead of open concrete with paint. 3. Road/intersection design is a 'challenge'. 4. The Denver metro is not a 'foodie' area, but some decent restaurants can be found. 5. Houses have a tendency to have small rooms. Be aware that a 2500 sq ft house may feel tight because of it. 6. Colorado has a Hail Session. Be aware of it.

For Texans who are thinking of moving to Colorado, consider the following to see whether moving to Colorado is worth it or not: 1. If you prefer cold weather to hot weather and you despise hurricanes, go with Colorado. If you prefer hot weather to cold weather and do not mind hurricanes, then stick with Texas. 2. If you love the outdoors and love to go camping and hiking and rock climbing, go with Colorado because Colorado is better for these things than Texas. If you love being in the desert or in big cities like Austin or Houston or Dallas, then stick with Texas. 3. If you despise traffic jams especially going to work, go to Colorado because there isn't many traffic jams in Colorado compared to Texas. If you don't mind traffic jams, then probably stick with Texas. 4. If you are liberal/progressive or a Democrat, go with Colorado because Colorado is a blue state. If you are a conservative or a Republican, then stick with Texas because Texas is a red state. 5. If you love lower property taxes, go with Colorado. If you do not mind the high property taxes in Texas, stick with Texas. 6. However, Colorado has a higher cost of living than Texas. If you do not mind paying a high cost of living, go with Colorado. If you like a lower cost of living, then stick with Texas. These are some things to consider whether to decide to move to Colorado or not. Think very carefully about whether the move to Colorado from Texas is worth it or not.

I am not a Colorado native, and I Am also blind. I live on the west side of Denver, and locals haven't really shown me around since I have been here. Thank you for this video. I have had to learn Denver pretty much on my own. However, when I have been lost downtown, I have received more help in downtown Denver than on the west side.

It is an agra city and yes there are days that you can smell the farms

From a 20 years resident, Castle rock isn’t what it used to be. When we moved here Castle rock had 4 restaurants, one kings one Safeway and Walmart and that was all of it.

There is no comparison at all between Colorado and Florida. As a native of Colorado for 60 years, Colorado beats every state in the USA hands down, as far as beauty, and things to do. 🤫 there isn't a more beautiful place on planet Earth then Colorado. 🤫Shhh But don't tell no one, because everybody and their Grandma, will want to move here from all over the World. 😂 Colorado is Supposed to be a Top Secret 🤔😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😇

Husband and I are moving from Tampa, FL to Aurora, CO (South Aurora) because he got a new job there. I'm so excited because our rent is only like $50 more than it was in Tampa, FL and the job situation is looking to be so much better in Colorado already. I'm looking to work in warehouses and the pay is already $7 or $8 more an hour and UNIONS actually exist in Colorado. We're packing up as we speak and I'm excited to start the next chapter of my life. My parents are trying to convince me that Florida is "muuuuuch cheaper to live in overall" and that Im making a mistake. But they bought & paid for all of their homes in the 90s & mid 2000s. Meanwhile a 1400sq 3bed 2 bath with no backyard near me in Brandon, FL is 400k. For that amount of money, I might as well get a larger house with triple the land out in Colorado Springs. The once found appeal of affordability in Florida died right after Covid. I totally get the appeal of both states, but Colorado is going to be much better for my husband and I - financially and mentally.
