If you're smart, this will be the first upgrade to your MX650
Take a moment to understand your MX650 needs this upgrade first and how you need to prioritize riding safe. This is why I think you first upgrade to your MX650 should be hydraulic brakes!
Thanks for watching, I hope you guys enjoy the video!

Ignition Coil Terminated my Predator 212cc!

We dove deep into the motor in this video to find out that the problem to my Predator failure happened to be a bad install of my Ignition Coil when I upgraded it. I think the motor was hurt and tired, now I get to build one from scratch with more HP and reliabil...

Biola University Winter Training Day 3
Honestly, you only need a hydraulic brake if you go over 20 and do wheelies. A mechanical brake is okay but unreliable.
Yo any update if it holds up? Looking to use this as a guide
I was going to, but then I was messing around with some of the go kart wiring and now the hover board won't connect to the go kart chassis. As soon as I can figure out a solution, I will make a video on how it holds up!
Hi Gavin. May I ask for your advice? I modified mine similar to yours to have larger rear tires and slightly smaller in the front. However, once I did this, the front tires have a major problem steering. It's almost like they cause the front to skid and not turn. What do you think is going on here? Any advice to the physics at play here?
Very cool man! I'm curious to know what kind of front tires you have, how wide are they? do they inflate? are they offroad tires or street tires? Because I also did test with the OEM front tires that have no grip at all, so it pushed the front instead of gripping enough to drift the rear tires. Very soon I will be using Harbor Freight tires in the front and testing those because just about anyone can get them and they're not too expensive. Even though they're more of an offroad tire, I still think it will perform well.
@@GavinFS Hi Gavin. Thank you for your reply ! All four tires inflate and are off road tires. The front tires are 8 in and 2 in wide. The back tires are Harbor Freight 10in tires. I wonder if it has to do with the tie rod, the width or Ackermann physics. I am going to try to upload a quick video. I am looking forward to your next video. I love the channel.
I hope y'all were either careful or change the flywheel
neither lol but a flywheel is much needed
What a not understanding story for these tires, i put Dunlop kart rain tyre on mine, Just a little mod, grinding indeed the spoiler and frame a little. 1 hour job and done. Looks like oem build and its a crazy look.
They for real look so much better and drive much better as well!
Im 6’3 220 and i was wondering if this is alright because im on a budget and i just wanted to try something electric instead of gas for once
This shock will still work great! They have instructions for applying the proper air pressure into the shock to align with your weight. I'm running the 165mm and it's a 1.5in lift over stock, but if you want to get a longer shock like a 195mm or 200mm which would be closer to a 3in lift, there are a lot more options from DNM or other companies that also include a coil, so you don't have to worry about adjusting the pressure.
they also have more budget friendly options, but this shock is a little bit more expensive because of a few other features. that's sick dude! do you have a 100cc or 125cc?
@@GavinFS currently im on a 400cc dirtbike and just want a city cruiser something to get from school and back
heck yea dude, this bike would be perfect. just make sure to keep it locked up in a safe place bc it gets looks fs lol
Hi nice video so which did you get 165-190-200mm I’m 6 -215
I got the 165mm. I’m 5’11. It should raise it about 1-1.5in
@ so the 200mm should work for me
either the 190 or 200 would work great, are you going to upgrade the front fork as well?
@ hopefully I’m getting the mx650 next week so I’m trying to get the simplest things then later the bat and motor
I’m thinking of first upgrade the rear shocks then I don’t know what’s next
also the camber isn't the main cause of the tire wear, it's the ackerman. if you can figure out a way to get the outside wheel closer to the angle of the inner wheel, there will be less tire wear. the inner tie rods need to be positioned differently, possibly more towards the rear of the kart.
gotcha, yea I just tested it again today and blew the front tire so I will be continuing to make changes. appreciate the feedback tho!
i wish it was slightly bigger or at least the pedals were further apart. looks like a promising build, but i still think the standard crazy kart is more comfortable
no kidding, i'm 5'11 and its honestly pretty awkward for me to use. I'm trying to make it work as good as possible without doing extensive cuts and welds since not everyone can do those kinds of mods
I've been watching videos without having knowledge of gokarts.but I don't know it makes me to make my own kart at home so Can you make video on making electric powered gokart from scratch
I have plans to make another electric go kart so I’ll be sure to make it detailed!
Love your content bro keep it up
Thanks bro, will do!
If you watch videos of dirt track racing (especially late models) or drift events you can see one wheel coming off the ground. It all depends which way they’re going but I wouldn’t stress it too much. It’s completely normal, if late models and drift cars do it and they’re good then being on a kart shouldn’t make any difference lol
Yea I totally agree, I've experienced drift karts where both wheels are on the ground at high angle, and it doesn't work well because there's too much grip and spins out. Plus, the one wheel up looks super sick when drifting, almost like Chelsea Denofa in the RTR Mustang just throwing big speed and angle even though that's not actually the case, it's much slower than that haha
Nossa que da hora ficou as filmagens
Thanks brotha!
Great video keep up the good work!
Much appreciated brotha!
yo could you make a video while drving it with those tires
I will try, I'm currently having issues getting the hover board to connect with the go kart frame. It has nothing to do with the tires, I was messing with the front nose piece where it uses bluetooth to connect to.
Nice❤
Thank you!
@ ym
Where can I find those tires
They are from BMI Karting
Thank you bro
I support the channel keep it going and you will make it big😁
much appreciated brotha!
Hi, what is the range that says on your app on a full charge? I got a used one and it says 10.5 miles rather than the advertised 15.5
Tbh I've never checked my range but whenever I drove it, I put it in Corsa and drove it hard for about 20 min before it got to the last bar of battery.
White with the phresh LEDS always looks damn clean
Dude for real, I feel like I can genuinely see better now that it's not as dim
@GavinFS found out I had some 74 leds I used to do the shifter light and the cup holder lights so I slapped one in the glove box and boom she's Beauty! ... there's these modern technology newer age vehicle things like the fact that the light in the glove box comes on with the headlights which is flippin' ridiculous
That's sick! I haven't gotten a chance to do those lights yet just because they look like a pain haha. Dude tell me about it, would've like to have the glove box turn on regardless.
i just stumbeld across your channel and i find it amazing as an kart builder
Much appreciated! From your perspective do you have recommendations for improvements?
Hello, do you want sell gokart😊?
Not now but at some point yes lol
Hey man would you know how to swap batteries for something bigger that makes it last longer? I’m 195 lb lmao so it’s pretty quick
I haven't looked into it yet, but I would love to get some more range out of it as well haha
@@GavinFS right? My one wheel gt-s handles it no problem I can get 20 mi out of it going full throttle so maybe a battery like that in the go kart pro ?
The batteries aren't too much different. Off the top of my head I'm thinking that the one wheel gets more range because it's one motor being powered instead of two, and it being a one-wheel vs a go kart, the weight comparison is pretty different. I think in the future it would be worth just buying the go kart frame and ditching the hover board to have a self-made drive terrain in the back where you can apply a bigger battery to get much more performance and range out of it. Batteries are pretty expensive already, so to get a more powerful battery that is small enough to fit in these compact units would just make it not worth how much you would spend on that nice of a battery.
I just bought one of these from a thrift store for $40 because the batteries were shot. Great to see people building them up.
That's sick! I feel like they're pretty easy to get so I'm trying to find ways of making them fun and convenient. What are the plans for yours?
This is sick bro!
Thanks bro!
How?
When you do a stage 1 kit, you upgrade the fuel jet that allows more fuel to flow through the engine. This, combined with a small exhaust allows the engine to spit amazing flames.
Looks fun!
It was! Really excited to drive it more after these next few mods I have lined up👀
They wind up dead because of the unobtainable cdi that go out. It will run but act terrible.
Interesting, it runs but it has a ticking sound, and I was thinking that it might be the timing guides are shot. Thanks for the info I'll look into it more!
Man, you are a life saver lol - I followed your instructions and they were perfect. Good thing you posted the glovebox. I didn’t even know I had a light there. Tip: the light from the glovebox turns on if the headlights are on 💪
Glad to help brotha! Appreciate that, makes sense because you would only need to see in there if it's dark out.
you make this toy looks so much fun, your video angle is so far the best for the ninebot go kart pro
thanks brotha, much appreciated!
how did you get 2 step
I put the stock intake on which make it really rich so it started popping
@@GavinFS i thought lean made it pop
@@braydenjustice9384 That was my mistake, after looking at the footage again I remembered that I initially had the stage 1 kit on with the intake, and bigger fuel jet installed. Then when I put the stock intake back on, the popping was the result.
@@GavinFS ahh makes sense, sounds cool tho
RIP Bearings
motor has broken coil mounts so it's getting scrapped anyway
Where did you get that speed controller? Do you have a link to purchase?
I won't let me put a link in a comment so I will put it in the description right now
@@GavinFS Thank you so much Gavin. I have one more question. Will a sprocket brake hub adapter 3/4" work for the rear tires on the Ground Force? Your videos are awesome!
@@l.bradly4107 Of course! Yes it will, the rear axle is 3/4in. I use that same hub for my rear tires! Unfortunately I can't find the rear tires I bough forever ago anymore. But 8in or 10in tires are a perfect size for the RGFD. Much appreciated!
Only thing done to this is a muffler delete? Anything else?
Just a muffler delete. In the future I'd like to do headers and take off the resonator.
Can u post the links for it all
Yes I can!
"no one else has done it" dude I hear you man. I hear you! its hard to find someone out there that is willing or has the resources to be able to modify this Gokart. I have modified the battery to make me run longer I haven't watched any other video of yours but id love to help you modify yours to extend the life. love the this video and hope to see more.
appreciate that brotha! There really needs to be a community for modifying these karts, people sell them all the time because they get bored of it in stock form. Dude that would be perfect! I definitely want to know about the battery extension because they make it seem like it can last a while but it's not enough.
Do you have a video that explains the process?
yooooooooo! im getting a drift/ shifter kart this weekend. it needs some work done but i was wondering the best mods for drifting. it already comes with pvc on the wheels and a 212 pred. i might out a more round wheel on there for drifting but i was wondering what you would but first.
and is a handbrake needed? i see people with them i just dont know how to mod one on
For the brakes, flip the master cylinder around and put a handle on it instead of it being cable driven by a pedal. It doesn't work any better, but it makes it feel more natural when drifting.
The second thing I would do is find a way to extend the travel of the tie rods so when you are steering, it gives you more angle by pushing or pulling the wheels more. Other than that, you should be good to go! Also, does your kart have front brakes as well?
@@GavinFSthanks! And I don’t think so I can check though!
@@8u85 Sounds good!
Doesn't that wheel floating up interfere with drifting?
It actually helps because it takes out grip in the front which keeps you from spinning out
Can you pull the fuse instead of disconnecting the battery? Otherwise power windows will have to be reset are reconnecting.
Yes you could
What pressure do you run the front tyres at?
good question, absolutely no idea😂 but I know it's too high because I understeered a lot haha
AND NOW PUT SOME PVC SLEEVES ON THE REAR DUDE!!!
COMING SOON!
@@GavinFS Niiiiiiiice
How's about you now really make the Ninebot drift instead of powerslide or not even powerslide... I had the first version the white black one and put pvc tires on the back... The biggest problem to overcome is the electronics stopping power/throttle...
Yea true the electronics aren't suitable for it. Did you just hammer pvc on the stock rear tires?
@@GavinFS yeah pretty much. The video is on my channel but it's whack... at least it slides around 1 corner but then it just dies down. This was on the black/white model (the first gokart).
@@RebelDrifter gotcha, did the pvc manage to stay on well?
With tape 😂 @GavinFS but what you can do with the kart wheels is much better
I agree, the grip is super fun to slide on and it takes more skill to try and keep the slide going
yo we hitting the streets wit dat fart mobile
@@ASKMTB18 💨💨
Sell it/ door dash
door dash would be sick haha
NM❤l I😊
To any one doing the two lights above the driver and passenger, be careful not to pop out the button, because then you need to fish it out of the top of ur vehicle
sounds like nightmare
why does this look like a video from the 2000s, and not from 2024 ...the video quality is terrible
i meant to do that👀
