Thank you for asking! Tbh it’s been a difficult 12 months as husband is not well. However, around his ongoing treatment we have done a number of rides which I’ll strive to edit and upload soon. I think the Parkamoor route is probably the one to look out for …. absolutely a cracker of a route high above Coniston.

Full suspension for me is a more comfortable ride over rougher ground and it seems to travel over the bumpier stuff with ease and makes me feel a lot more confident tackling stoney tracks. At times my head might say “I can’t do this” but the bike has other ideas and before I know it I’m over the problem! I just have to trust the bikes ability! I am a senior, novice rider so not got a lot of experience but just love the full suspension and wish we’d gone straight for them instead of hardtails. Hope this helps.

I’m sure you’ll love the route. I’m way too old to risk a fall and I would happily ride the route again by myself - the only bit I hadn’t previously ridden was the Coniston up Walna Scar and down to Torver bit hence why I dragged Andy along just in case but it wasn’t as rough as I had anticipated!

🙂Perhaps wrong choice of word .... was speaking from my perspective as a senior rider meaning unsuitable for my own age & ability!

Thanks, it really is a lovely route. It is on my Komoot….a link is included in the description towards the end. If you are going straight to my Komoot page I’ve opened the complete route on my planned page as on my completed ride page it shows as 2 rides because I was having a technical issue! 🙂

Hi there and thank you. The bag is an Osprey Tempest 6 and Nigel finds it comfortable to wear. It is quite roomy and holds all we need for our rides. Only down side is the light grey easily gets dirty! I agree with you re these bikes, they are such fun.

Pleased you enjoyed video. Most of the route will be rideable however the Iron Keld section will be wet/boggy in places at the moment as we’ve had prolonged, significant rainfall.

I plan the routes using Komoot and then transfer to the e-bike flow app and open that on either my iphone (held firmly on my bike with the bosch smartphone holder) or on the kiox 300 display. As I wear glasses I prefer seeing the larger screen on my iphone so that's what I usually use.

I’m not on Strava but you can access my rides on Komoot at ‘Cumbrian e-bike trails’ 👍. I’m not tecky so this is a steep learning curve and in the future will try to sort a way of putting a gpx link in the description! 🤪 Also am wondering if music necessary as even though I try to keep it quiet when editing, when it’s uploaded UA-cam seems to up the volume 🤷‍♀️🤣 Hope you get as much enjoyment out of riding these routes as we did and continue to do 🚵🏻‍♂️🚵‍♀️

😊 Our time is taken up at the moment with our first grandson but hopefully I'll get out and about soon!

It's so much fun getting out on these e-bikes but must admit I like drier conditions ..... still Spring is just round the corner 🤞! I want to try some of the bridleways up on the Green Quarter/Kentmere area so definitely need it to be drier! 😊

I’ll maybe tackle your suggestion one day but all it really takes is time/research, our local knowledge (we are Cumbrians), Komoot, OS maps etc and picking son-in-laws brains (experienced local, extreme mountain biker) as to what route NOT suitable for our ability and senior age! I tend to walk any section of a route I’m not sure about as some bridleways just not rideable by us and e-bikes are not light even with walk assist! 🤣

I use the app Komoot (Cumbrian e-bike trails) and I have made routes available on there to view but to download GPX file on Komoot I think you have to unfortunately unlock the local Komoot map for which they charge! Sorry can’t think of any other way to get GPX to you as not techie! Hope you manage to sort as it really is a lovely route.

Thank you. Tbh wasn’t sure about uploading this, but decided to as thought it may be helpful to others . The video clearly shows the severity of the terrain in places and might help potential riders (senior or otherwise 🤣) to decide if it’s for them or not!

Thank you, really pleased you enjoyed the video. The device is the GoPro remote as I find this the easiest way to set GoPro off (voice control not reliable and sometimes tricky finding button on the Gopro when riding!) The bike came with a Kiox 300 display but as I need to wear glasses (variable lens) to ride I found the display too small to read and much prefer the larger, more detailed map the flow app provides on the iPhone. The map is the main thing I use the display for and when riding a new route I find the Kiox 300 route display a tad too basic for my liking. I note that Bosch now do a larger Kiox 500 so maybe that display will be easier to read (it’s just an age thing for me! 🙂). I use the Bosch phone holder which I find to be really secure ….. it attaches to the bike display holder and allows the phone to charge and you can still move between different display screens to view ride info. This system works well for me and phone has not once fallen off but 🤷‍♀️🤞🏻.

👍Thank you. I use the Bosch iPhone holder which attaches to the bike display holder letting the phone charge as well as getting ride info from the bike. Has been a secure method for me (so far 🤞🏻)

@cumbriane-biketrails7944 thank you, I'll look into it. My wife (60) has just got her first ebike and your videos are a great inspiration for her. I normally ride slightly more technical stuff, but it has been really good riding together and watching her confidence grow!

Thank you for your positive comment. Tbh I don't use books as I feel, in the main, these are aimed at a much more advanced rider than myself and hence why I have done these videos? You may find Komoot more useful than books and you will find my routes available to view on that app under 'Cumbrian e-bike trails'.

We love this area and if you do ride the route down to Howtown you could always use the Ullswater steamer to take you/ebike back to Pooley Bridge. 👍

Yep we went full suspension and now ride the Cube Stereo 140 TM ebike, a great bike for trails we ride. As I wear spectacles I found the kiox display a tad small and the direction page a bit basic so opted to use my mobile with the Bosch phone holder and that works well for me. Maybe this is why Bosch have brought out the bigger Kiox display! Also I like changing the settings for the various riding modes using the flow app and hence why I’m not always in emtb! 🤣 😉 Have fun on your new bike 👍
