Thank you so much for watching!! To answer your question, I’ve been a creative for years in different ways. I became a nail tech is 2000 and did nails for 20 years. (Till Covid) When I turned 40 in 2012, I added photography to my creativeness gearing more toward fantasy and themed shoots requiring costumes and headpieces and fun accessories which I made most of the time! In 2020 I started working at Amazon and I missed thrifting and creating. So I got involved with the online selling community and when items wouldn’t sell I started upcycling! And here I am! 😊☺️

@@dorisamstutz5888 Hi! Thank you for your question! The foil was put on with the “glue” formulated for it and then heat set with an iron. The company says it is washable in cold and hang to dry. The studs I use are prong set, not glued so they aren’t coming off. But still I recommend washing in cold, inside out, hang to dry.

Thank you for watching and asking! I recommend washing in cold water inside out. Dry for about 10 minutes then hang to air dry.

Yes it did sell! As well as the cassette purse, the metal flag purse and the phone purse after I took it apart and remade it with a new liner and black leather! I’m actually going to another estate sale tomorrow because I saw an old rotary phone in the corner of one of the pictures so I’m hoping it will have a decent price on it so I can make another one!! I’ve had people asking! While there is no shortage of rotary phones for sale on Facebook marketplace locally, the prices they want can’t justify sourcing one to tear apart, make a new purse and make any decent profit for my time and skill. If you somehow have access to a collection of Legos to send me, I would gladly make one for you! Same with the cassette purse!

This is very similar to my creation process. If you watch any of my tutorials some of them have moments of, I’m going to do this, and then I come back next frame and say, “ok, that didn’t work, so I’m going to try this now” 😄 Sometimes I have an actual vision of what I want to create and 99% of the time I have to figure it out because there IS no tutorial! That’s why I started making them to fill in the unusual gaps that aren’t covered. So yes, I let the pieces speak to me most of the time. It’s not an intuition I feel came naturally tho. I look at other creations to fill my brain with inspiration. Then when I see something, it’s like a bell goes off and says, “hey! This could work for something!” So I believe it’s a matter of “training your brain” to see things differently! I could go on and on and now I’m thinking I should do a video on this topic! 💡

It broke my heart when it started falling apart and I could tell it wouldn’t have been fixable because there was nothing strong to sew back together! I could NOT bring myself to throw it away the thought of it made me sick! I mean IT’S VINTAGE MINK!!! It just took awhile for the idea wheel to find a solution! Thanks for the love!
