I wont use the 1/4 turn valves anymore as once the nylone seats whare out you must repleace the whole valve with the multiple stem all you have to do is replece the stem then you are good for another 14 years

The apartment where I live has the quikset lever chrome handles and I’d like to remove them for keyed entry to my bedroom for extra security. I took out the screws but the handle doesn’t want to come off. Do I have to pry it off after the screws are removed or should the square rose just pop off? I don’t want to damage it since I will need to put it back when I decide to leave the apartment.

I have been installing turf in Mesa Az for 15 years and this way is the most correct and professional to install good job guys

How’s it holding up? Usually if you don’t water the rock in between running the compactor it will settle with time. The dry rock won’t pack as tight as when it’s been wetted. Curious if you’ve noticed your base loosening/settling.

Wow, you made it look easy. I've been working on mine for 2 solid days. When I turned off the water to the house, the shut-off valve continued to drip water for hours. Also getting the lower and upper nut off the supply hose took a full day and at least six different tools due to the difficult access.

It is NOT recommended to leave the old nut and ferrule in place because manufacturers have different threads and you will be in for a surprise! NO TEFLON EITHER!

I also enjoyed your pivot mirrors in the bathroom, so it gave me ideas for my vanity which has the original large wall-to-wall mirror. Thank you for sharing.

To much work unless the valve is broke. Can you swap out quarter valve from the gate with a copper line keeping the copper line going to say the sink valves . Or do you have to change out the copper lines to the flex lines? I got a leaky drippy tub faucet in the condo laundry room. That I may use onec a week. I would have to move the washing machine to redo the whole thing. So I was thinking just go with quarter turns and shut and the water off that way. The gat e valves wont g the w a ter off 30 years old Instead of a 4 hour job.
