I think best way to knot stretch cord is with a modified square knot. Some people call it a surgeons' knot. L over R and around, R over L and around twice.

It can be impossible to find large hole beads. Would you tell us where you get/got your pearls and what size the stretch cord is? It's a great bracelet and my sister loves pearls.
