what did you make the covers for the top tubes from?

Very good instructions. Thanks
Well done your explanation was perfect!
These are amazing. Real stone is so expensive, this is a great alternative.
Thanks! I’ve been wanting to do this.
On the end of my pathway it is on a bit on a hill. If I make the cement like the thickness you did, do you think it would be a problem and not set without running?
@@glendajorde9062 depending on how steep, you could just mix it thicker with less water
GREAT explanation. Thank you
I'm on my 4th season I tear everything down at the end of the year only take about hour to setup and start filling with water
Well done did a great job
Looks great. I have a steel sided oool with liner. Do you let dogs swim in it? I have a German Shepherd and was wondering how it would hold up. She does kick off the side at times
@@ricksmith1574 no dogs, the material is surprisingly thin for how much pressure it has to withstand. Big dogs clawing on it might be bad news.
@@cooldadstuff2988 Thanks for the input. That was my fear.
How many bags of quikrete did you use for this project?
@@tamiuhler8047 I would usually do 3 rocks at a time, sm, med, lg, and take approximately 2.5 bags.
@@tamiuhler8047 I was into the entire project for around $350
Do these pools need to be install with water bonding kits?
@@21isAlliNeed no
Question is it true you have to take this type of pool down every year or can ya empty it below the skimmer and leave water in it during the winter?
Doesn’t freeze where we live, so I just left it up year round, completely filled.
Did you put the rubber mulch under the entire pool or just around it?
Only around it
What do u shock with and how much u use?? Ty
Hi ...how much would u say u spent in total w everything xtra ??
What chlorine and shock are you using? My first one faded the color after 2 seasons and looking at a coleman
Do you have snow on your area?
No
Is it holding up Today 2024 ? ?
I took it down last year, but was still in good shape after 3 years filled with water.
@@cooldadstuff2988 filled the entire time?
Hey man how many stone slabs did you use under the legs??
@@Anonymous-dp5ib I think it was 18. One under each leg.
Is the 48" measured to the top of the rail or water depth?
I believe it was 48” at the rail, but no longer have the pool.
I like the way you naturalized the stone. So simple with great effect. Beautiful job 👏
Nice video... your setup is very nice... wanted to know ifbyou were worried boit animal using claws and or bitting into pool? Thats my main only concern.
Never had any issues with it. I’d be more concerned about a kid puncturing it than an animal.
Where did you get your pool ladder from? I need one of those. I have had my Ultra Frame Intex for 3years now, and that ladder is retirement ready 🤣
What kind of ladder do you have can't find a good ladder

What’s the problem?
@@cooldadstuff2988 my side poles has rusted away looking for new poles
Time for a 4th season update lol Also buy a vinyl guard - it moisturizes and prevent up damage it’ll last waaaay longer
I took it down over Winter and sold everything.
💯💯💯
Very good idea and excellent tutorial. You can of course use some concrete acrylic sealant on top of those stones to not only enhance the colour but protect that finish too. Bottom line is you got them to look natural with that colouring, great job!
Thanks! I have some sealer left over from a stamped concrete job here. Going to try it on the test rock to see if I like it or not.
Where did u get the blocks for under the legs?
Lowe’s or Home Depot. They are cheap and do the job.
Are they just 1 inch pavers?
@@Kurse19 more like 2x12
do they come close to the liner that’s what i’m worried about! 😢
@@RealCodyReed close, but that’s why I tucked that tarp material in between. No chance of damaging it.
Ahhh I was wondering if the ash was part of our issue. Weve always had a pool and the last few years weve had a very hard time keeping it clear and blue. But we are in British Columbia where it has been ashy skies most summers for the past 3 or 4 years now. I swore it had to be the ash as weve had a pool our childrens entire existence, they are now 25 to 20. So weve done alot of years and only recently its been very challenging to maintain. Thank you!
We had a fire and the ash did a number on the pool. Unfortunately, didn’t have a cover.
What's the vacuum hooked up to?
Hello I realize that this video was posted two years ago but I’m curious to know what/where did you get the mat that goes underneath the ladder inside the pool? The ones I have won’t stay down they keep floating up.

Buying one soon! Looks good
What did you put underneath the pool?
Check out my first and second videos
So we got a used pool but It has like red brown tint to it that I can't clean off. Any recommendations on how to clean it?
The liner is stained on the inside? Is the pool filled and chlorinated? Might help
Can you link your pool vacuum?

Just recently bought one and I'm hoping to get at least 4 summers out of mine. Will definitely look into the covers for the rails and I like your idea with the umbrella to cover up your pump system. Putting mine up this week. Thanks for the video!!
Good luck! Took mine down this year as it developed a small leak somewhere on the bottom and my kids quit wanting to go in. I think I’m done with pools for now.
The pool looks great, I love the rubber mulch surround. How has it held up going in year 3?
$400 it’s $1400 plus 13% tax in Canada 😩
Yah, but if you’re injured while putting it together, the trip to the ER is covered. 🤣
@@cooldadstuff2988 true🤣
Nice pool! How did you hook the skimmer up?
You can kinda see it more in my first video. The mounting bracket is pretty flimsy, so the best way I found to keep it secure was to get it vertical, (disconnected from the hose so it stays still) then drill vertically two holes all the way through the mount and the rails. Then get some long stainless bolts, washers and cinch it down. It won’t move after that. Before that, would constantly pop up or someone would knock it loose.
@@cooldadstuff2988 thanks! How did you connect it to your filter with those two smaller inlets?
@@CodyHollaway the skimmer comes with a fitting that goes into the tube from inside the pool.

@@cooldadstuff2988 great, thank you! Thinking of picking up a pool this month and trying to plan it all. Thanks for the videos!
How do you prepare the sand pump after already being used for a season
I’ve used the same pump/sand for three years and haven’t done anything special but backwashing several times the first week after start up. Shock is going to kill any algae of concern.
Do you leave your cool up for the winter or do you take it down and put everything away?
I leave it up all year as it doesn’t get that cold where I’m at.
Trying to do this exact thing now! I don't have the pool in hand yet, but am going to get materials to make a spot. How many pavers did you buy? I can't find how many legs the pool has, anywhere
Without counting, it’s either 18-20. Buy a few extra in case you crack any. They are cheap. 12x12
Might be dumb question, but What helps sand not move outwards ? I plan to use sand but was told I needed a border to hold in.
No sand will come out from the bottom once it’s filled.
The person putting the pool together cannot Connect the outlets to the filter because he says theirs parts missing? Right now the connection to loose.
I bought one i live in Chicago i sure hate the winter here hope the pool will hold up
How do you even put the cover on? There are no latches or tethers at all. It just falls in
I use spring clamps to hold it on
That is a hell of an angle on that fence
And It’s a hell of a long way down when you slip. Ask me how I know 😂
Thats what happens when they throw up houses anywhere. All house no yards. Can hear ya neighbors fart.
do you have to get a permit to put this pool up?
Every city is different. You’d have to check. I spoke to the city inspector directly and he told me that all they really care about is a dedicated GFCI plug for the pump, but going after people over a temporary pool was pretty low on the priority list.
@@cooldadstuff2988 thank you so much for your reply. I truly appreciate it 🙏
OMG... Can you tell me and all of Amazon how to assemble that ladder??? It's the Vinyl Works one, right??
