    BKK has many other things as well for kids, hard to summarize but there is 'stuff you can see anywhere' like aquarium, planetarioum, wax museum, water park amusement parks , etc. the selection foods at the outdoor markets can be fun as well as shopping for cheap souvenirs... chatuchak market is one but can be more expensive to eat street food very touristy now

      The fishing restaurant (link in description) was a highlight. Overall, I wouldn’t say there were any others from this trip that were particularly “must-do”. Try to focus on places that have a larger seating area and go at off-peak times to avoid the crowds as best as possible.

    Very helpful video, thank you! I'm taking my 5 year old there in June and it's good to see what's suitable for kids. I've been there twice myself, but without kids. My son will enjoy Kid's Plaza and Nara for sure. I was unsure about Universal Studios, but I guess it is better to go when they're older. Our family travel style is definitely more relaxed and loosely-planned. We will be staying near Namba Station so if the little one needs to rest and recharge we can travel back easily.

    We went in early July 2021, and it was a nightmare the first few days as there was a huge under-18 crowd which looked like it was a class trip. The buffet and a couple restaurants were closed, and all the restaurants that were open needed reservations - which we weren't told about when we booked on their website or at check-in. We ended up going out in town for a lot of our meals as it was cheaper (and better) than at the resort. Frankie Gone Bananas at Arawak Key was incredible, as were some of the restaurants on Paradise Island. El Jefe was open, but no flavor to their food. Streetbird On The Beach was expensive for portion sizes - at almost $20 for chicken and waffles, two small pieces of chicken and two halves of a square waffle just didn't cut it.. Drift Bar and Grill was closed. Swimming Pig and Marcus' were both incredible - Swimming Pig is where we ate at mostly since it was easy to get a two-top and the kitchen was very fast without sacrificing flavor. Cleo was nice as well, once you got past waiting. Carna was another fantastic spot - the seafood tower was incredible, and the steaks were top notch. There is also a cigar bar near the fountains out the rear of the casino floor, and while the drinks were fabulous the cigar choices weren't. Highly recommend you bring your own as most were Cuban and were dry, so the Habano when smoked was very bitter.

    You did a good job of covering the topic in this video! One question I always had when searching this topic was "where to eat with picky kids" ... like kids who don't like to try particularly new things or seafood. We found Denny's and Saizeriya particularly helpful in this case, as well as IPPUDO and some random shops that had new foods or takes on familiar foods that were not too "extreme" for the little ones.

    • @lifeatlarge1
      @lifeatlarge1 8 місяців тому

      Good suggestions. I've never tried thouse but good to know. Matsuya and Yoshinoya are chains that offer more approachable food. The 7-11s and Family Marts have some simple foods too. Although each person will have their own stance on what is "new" food.
