I'm spending 12 hours in Riga the capital city of Latvia. Latvia during the winter time is both beautiful and unbearably cold. I agree, its hard with roadtrips though my friends have very set holidays so we tend to try to do as much as possible with our time 😬 and thank you! I get a fair few negative comments about my accent so every time i get a positive one it makes my day 😊
Cool
Thanks

Funny you should say that, I filmed two videos in turkey last week but this Balkans roadtrip series has around 12 episodes so Turkey wont be out until February I think

this is awesome dude!!❤
Thanks! I have similar map videos for vietnam and the USA 😁
If you targeting only Irish/British audience then OK. However if you targeting European audience you must ( and i really say a must not a should) change pronunciation as understand your English is very challenging. As I said if only targeted audience is just Irish.. do not change anything, if European, then change if you want to have more subscribers. Even Americans will not really understand you + Americans will have zero clue what you are talking about as they cant distinguish between Brussel and Budapest or Dublin, Dover, Dubrovnik and Dusseldorf.
Thanks for the feedback. Im targeting english native countries by default but of course all audiences are welcome but as a travel content creator I experience different accents from everywhere i go which are part of peoples culture and a big part of their personality and who they are. For me being from Liverpool im very proud of my accent and Im sure all scousers are and i want to share that uniqueness with all my viewers and be as authentic as possible not an act. I understand that at times the accent may be difficult but subtitles are provided by youtube. I appreciate all the viewers I get and welcome all feedback. I hope that you stick with me and over time you'll pick up my accent easier and easier 😊
@@ExplorerLife. Actually not. We will not stick with you unless we understand you. if this is the approach that I dont change anything then OK, please rely only on UK audience. If there is a will, there is a way , if there is no will, there is no way
Im sorry if you feel that way and I understand your concern, but I already soften my accent during videos and when I travel, my accent when I am in my home city is much stronger. My accent is a part of who I am and changing my accent completely would be acting like a different person and I want to be as authentic as possible. There are plenty of scottish, welsh and irish youtubers who make travel content with strong accents and have millions of followers across all platforms. I agree that more neutral accents 100% make it easier to attract an audience but it is not paramount to growing a community on this platform. If you watch any other my other videos and there is something you dont understand then I am always here in the comments to help. I hope to see you back in the future 😊
@@ExplorerLife. Yes but mainly not. Like a Josh Cahill - who is a German and Czech , but he know that English is the language to address most people worldwide and even EU wide, so he speak English. From him it is much more sacrifice to not speak a German or a Czech than for you adjust your accent and slow down to be more understandable. So please take a note
Slowing down is something that i can definitely consciously try to do to help the situation because it is easier to slow the tempo of speaking than to change an accent
Amazing video man! I like how you get into explaining the history of things, I would love to try this concept at some point, what would you say is the biggest challange with taking the cheapest flights everyday?
Thanks a lot! Im glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate your comments. Id say the biggest challenge for me was the lack of sleep paired with the amount of walking. I was waking up every day around 3/4am and sleeping around 10/11pm and averaging 30,000 steps each day. It was exhausting but felt very rewarding
This series looks sick! Gonna binge the whole thing right now... - Andrew from @ftheweekends
Nice, i hope you enjoy it! Theres a paris one, i know one of you are in paris right now but ive forgotten which one 😂
The hai van pass is incredible!! Nice video man!
I know! Tbh there are so many places in vietnam that are amazing to drive. Driving from the coast to DaLat takes yiu through some crazy mountain roads and unfortunately i never got to do the Ha Giang loop but 1000km on a moped north to south vietnam is still pretty crazy 😂 thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed it 👍

How much money did you spend in total ?
For flights, vaccines, then 4.5 months in SA, I think it was around £5000
It was 2 years ago though so memory is a little fuzzy but i think i was spending about £750-850 a month and the flights were £600-700 total and vaccines around £500.
My revolut says £2800 spent but i think i used a different card for accommodation which would be about £6 per night so thatd be about £800 on accommodation so maybe like £3600 on spends
And for those who don’t know fairuz is a singer that is renowned and loved across the Arab world i mean if you were to go anywhere in the Middle East ( not including the occupied parts of Palestine and turkey, though in turkey there is a chance) anyone would know who fairuz is
Thats crazy I imagine a lot of people dont know this, thanks for teaching me something 😊
In this song there’s also a beat change where it changes to a fairuz beat which I find is absolutely genius
