Praise God for this message! My autistic son has been struggling against selfish desires his entire life. My husband & I were told it was a condition of being autistic. That he was abnormally afraid of having things taken away from him causing selfishness and extreme distrust. Over the years he had become hardened, mean-spirited, and hateful. My hubby and I thought getting him counseling would help, but our son had built up a wall so no one could get through to him. After years of counseling, his distrust grew even greater concerning other’s motives. Little did I know, it was the devil who has been feeding my son lies all these years and not autism! My son only confessed to me over the last few days that he has been attacked by demons since 2 yo. He is now 20 going on 21 this Fall. For years I wondered what caused his ODD, disobedience, uncleanliness, guttural sounds, spitting, rude, crude, and indignant behavior. I believe my son confessed to me because he has been asking God to help him change for months now. He has an addiction to porn and was sickened by his inability to fight it off. My son told me he had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior about 5 years ago. However, now he is unsure of his salvation because of motive. Like so many others, he thought he could have his cake and eat it too. If he just accepted Jesus as his Savior he wouldn’t go to hell but could still sin because God forgives. Now my son fears he has damned himself by receiving Jesus only so he could avoid hell and has committed an unforgivable sin because he repeatedly did it and once willfully but can’t remember if he asked for forgiveness. I believe he has taken the book of Hebrews out of context (literally) and is still unsure after having explained the “unforgivable sin” and “willful sin.” The devil has convinced him that this section of the Bible should be taken literally. Anyhow, my son wants to get right with the Lord and didn’t think it was possible until he saw and heard this message. Hallelujah!! Thank you, Pastor Jerry, for giving my son hope in Jesus! However, it will be very difficult for him to overcome sin while being attacked even more so since admitting to me his “unforgivable sin.” I find it necessary to do multiple cleansings day and night since his admission. I am unsure if doing an exorcism will be effective if my son’s faith is not strong enough. I keep feeding him the Word of God and praying over him, hoping his faith will grow stronger. I am also concerned that he has very little to no trust in God because of Satan and his demons. Any advice would be appreciated.

Pastor Dirmann, has always had my respect and honor and I will always respect and honor my parents as well, but I don't agree with reading and enjoying the first couple books of Harry Potter that will exclude my name being in the book of life. That would be a false dichotomy. As an adult, there is a lot of music, film, stories, that I love and cherish that will never influence me to perpetuate sin. And in that entertainment there is a lot of ideas that I don't agree with either, but still enjoy it. When there is a great fiction story that was turned into a mini series on HBO and an episode aired a homosexual act that was clearly not a part of the story. I didn't abandon the whole series just because of that moronic scene. I accepted it. Forgave and moved on, because, by God, it was a great story. I am aware of the devil, but I do not allow the devil to block out what the Lord wants from me.

Thank you for sharing Pastor Jerry! Many believers aren't aware of these dangers and you delivered this message with grace!!
