Here I was filming my 9.9 horse power Yamaha outboard. Alone in a 310 zodiac when filming and the sea was pretty good. The boat is so light I couldn’t go up than 50-60% of power.

Here is a video of my 6 horse power Yamaha outboard motor. I was alone in a 310 zodiac when filming and the sea was pretty good. I am really surprised about how quiet the motor is.

Idem que les autres commentaires. Moulin à poivre et à sel Peugeot qui fonctionnent mal. Même en dévissant plus ou moins le couvercle. Très mauvaise marque finalement. Sans doute que la qualité Peugeot est une réputation qui n'a plus cours.
It's hard to open up with that much chop. It's amazing what those little engines can do. 👍
Nulle ..cette vidéo...vos moulins PEUGEOT fonctionnent mal et chers en plus ! ! Et en plus vs faites la promotion du sel Peugeot ..n'importe quoi ! ! 👎🏿
Bonjour, il ne fait pas serrer à fond le bouton du haut. Et si les sel ne sort plus il suffit de retourner la salière , dévisser un peu , et réessayer. Je pensais aussi que mes salière poivriers étaient défectueux, et bien non. C juste une question de réglage……

Hello this is a four stroke so can’t help you sorry.
If it's a Yamaha get some full synthetic outboard oil and mix 1:100

How fast?
310’s are typically max 10-15hp. Solo 5-6hp works but add passengers and 10+hp is pretty obviously needed. Skipping the 5hp my self. I will keep my 2hp till I can test setting up at anchor with the added weight of the 9.9. Having said that Yamaha pretty much owns the market on the best / most modern design small outboards now. Thx for posting the video! Hands down the right call for me after seeing your video👍

I reached 26-28kmh with mine 6hp Now i have 15hp twostroke and i do about 44kmh
I just bought this motor friday just past and I am still within my break-in period with 8 1/2 hours to go!
That means yours is a brand new, enjoy! I understand that yamaha preconize 8 times 30 mins using as à break in, correct ?

@@schoc13 hahhaha I see, now you should watch a big difference! 2.3hp is low but quite light and easy to handle so perfect for little inflatable onboarded on sailing ship for example

Thanks! I don’t know wich 290 is (RIB one?) but based on official technical data I see on Zodiac nautic website for the latest 290 RIB boat maximum power is 15hp with a limited weight of 55kg/121lbs. I think 9.9 should be quite good and you will see a big change versus the 6HP.
P-M L. Okay, Thank you so much! It’s not the rib one, only with inflatable v-bottom. I Think my boat is probably lighter than the one in this video. But I’ll give it a shot 💪
Danish Fireworks Youre welcome! You should have a part of the answer on the engraving plate on the back of your boat (max passengers, differents weights, max motor datas are written). Watch carefully to not be above the mentionned limits!
How long is your dingy? İf its not shorter than 3.20 mt Manufacturer allow up to 15 hp. Im using same engine in my honwave T 3.20 with pleasure and safety
M. Algur hi this is a Bombard AX500 3.10 meters. Official tech data allow up to 10 hp. I don’t know if manufacturer recommandation is to be equal or quite close to the max power. Honwave have a good réputation and looks more adapted for moderate agitated sea. Do you use a fuel separator filter on the engine ?
No. I do not use a extra filter but,I have fill my tank every time, same reliable gas station. Watched your video again carefully. Yes.your dinghy is not stable as honwave,that so; be careful !! when you alone and when you go in full throttle Never ever forget to use engine safety cord
M. Algur thanks I always wear the kill stop clip and make this kind of video when the sea is calm and no boats around. The main benefit to have this power on my boat is not the top speed but the fact the engine is never forcing. When we are two we can reach a satisfying cruising speed easily that is not the case with the 6HP on which cruising in full throttle come quickly impacting the engine conditions...
@@lezin99 You know what? My other motor is 6hp 4stroke yamaha. I've been there 😄 Couldnt compare with 9.9 I feel same things and agree % 100.Much power is better, even you dont need every time.but in the sea you never know when you need .
M. Algur Fully shared! Yes the 9.9 vs 6hp différence is quite big more than 60% additional power! I am still impressed! I still have the 6hp, that I also have in video, and can’t convice myself to sell it. The engine is really quiet and I had great times with it.

Yes, this is too much but I had the 6HP on it; this is the right power when I am alone, correct. Problem is when we are two adults on it - 6 HP seems to be not enough... Maybe the good one is in between...?
