don't ever sell it. i'm actually thinking about buying one and i can't decide if i shouold get a 944 turbo or wait untill i make more money to get a 944 turbo s. And if i get one, i won't do any mods to it besides maybe an exhaust

I had an 86 / 951. white with black pedal fuchs . K27 turbo, dual port wastegate, in cock-pit adjustable boost , boost and fueling gages , stage 2 chips , mandrel 3" exhaust , and more Dave Lindsey helped me to sort it . ran it at 17 # boost . super fast car , apprx 330 RWHP ( 380 hp at the crank ) The car weighs 2800 # . super fast , reliable , just a fantastic car

I bought a guards red over tan 951 in 1993. It was a trade in from a widow at a dealership in Charlotte NC. Turns out it was highly modified, it would boost nearly 2 bar, had a larger turbo, larger injectors, remapped ECU, cross drilled rotors, shorter shift arm on the transmission. didn't have the factory airbox on it - funny thing about it was first time I tried to use the window washers water dripped from the intercooler area... The tubes had been rerouted to a couple of misting nozzels across the front of the intercooler.

Hi there, you got a nice car. I was wondering if you modified the rear bumper, or it is a European model? I have an 86 Turbo, and like to change the wing and get rid of those black rubbers off the bumper, I think it'll look much nicer like yours. Thanks in advance for any help.

My 1985 944 NA cruises well at 200km/h. These old things doing good. The turbo steps it up though

what are the silver rings from that are around the gauges??? I can't find them anywhere

Had one - drove over 170 000 km here in Finland - summer and winter on daily basis as my only car. Summers were worse: 2 sets on tires, brakes, 4 sets CV-joints, clutch. 275 km/h top speed. Very good handling - once at the winter (very slippery ice), several new cars was out of the road but with 951 I was just having fun to drift over 100 km to home :)
