Friend I knew use to work in elderly home and one night while drunk talked about how there was this one guy, he was a Marine in WWII, and some reason he hated my friend one day the guy fell down, as he was pretty much at deaths door, and my friend was assigned to him. The guy after few days confessed that my friend looked exactly like his Marine Brother, they were on a patrol when they got ambushed and his Brother got hit in the leg. He tried carrying him but he got shot in the leg as well. His Brother was in way to worse shape when they reinforcements, so medics focused on him instead causeas the medics said "he'stoo far gone". Old man apparently blamed himself for all those years that if he never got shot his brother would still be alive, and he acted so hostile to my friend because it was too much. Friend talked more about the stories he told but talked about on his death bed the old man asked for him and asked "You forgive me right?" To which my friend said yes and the old man passed away anout 20 minutes later. Friend was very drunk while telling this, and my friend was also former Marine.
