What length are the chains?
❤❤❤
There is no way that I’d tow my truck this way 😢. The potential (probable) damage to both trucks is obvious !
Thank you
11 years old video is still the best explanation how to properly use the tow bar/hook. ❤
Que hermoso video y gracias por esa enseñanza aplausos

Hi. can some one tell me which PROTOTE IS GOOD the 8 or 9
Thank you! For your hard work we appreciate you. Keep it up 👍
New Mexico law every axle touches ground! Needs to brake

Jim whats the going price for one
I just bought mine yesterday 😌
About to use a pro tote I borrowed from a friend for the first time. Thanks you for this informative video!
“I’ve got a hook that we designed..” *pulls out standard 5th wheel latch hook 😂
For that price, you'd expect a better Blinky Light. 🚨🚨🚨
How much is to buy one like this
I’m wondering if these are practical to use for breakdown on busy roads. Turning around would require police assistance to turn around. In my city, (Brisbane/Australia) e de ady towing seem to have a monopoly with their heavy duty tow trucks. They just back up and lift the steering axle and move the semi w trailer to get broken down trucks off busy roads. Fast and easy. I can see a huge value for this in smaller towns and remote areas where the frequency of breakdowns is less. Or for small fleets keeping their operating costs down
Thanks, was shown quickly once on Fri and I just wanted to refresh my memory before I pick up my broken down rig today, Sunday first time for everything
Did you rent this? I can’t find a place renting these in Texas.
@@TexasBroskiActual I'm in NE Iowa, boss knows a guy, who knows a guy... this tutorial was just what I needed to refer back to in the middle of WY
better chain up the rear axles of the truck that is to be towed unless you want to buy new airbags.
Did you know you can tow a Semi-Truck with a TriWich Dolly?
On a highway at highway speeds?
I'll take that as "no." 😂
Sorry, must have missed your comment 9 month ago. Towing Wheel Dollies are rated up to 18,000 lbs. Casters are only rated at 10mph. I've gone faster, but that would be unofficial. Just landed a major contract with a Semi-Truck OEM. So no, not a joke
Thank you
Good investment
Why in even bother with the red air line blocker? Lol. If you block the line it does nothing just as if you leave the red knob out when bobtailing.
He said that you release the trailers brakes. It doesn't make alot of sense if there's no air in the towed truck, the brakes won't work. He should of put the air system directly to the entire truck.
Because the service line doesn't work if the parking brake isn't released. He's feeling the blue line from the tow vehicle to the front chambers of the vehicle being towed thats why the towed vehicle doesn't need air in it.
@@bluegixxer1k ok i get it now.
I would like to know what is the price complete shipping to South Africa thank you
Jim it would be nice if you hooked up the front to show how the unit operates thank you
i have pro tote model 9 the battery died each time i have put jump cable to lift it up
Looks like a cluster fuck tbh. Too much work for a few bucks saved
Not necessarily a "few bucks" my tow bill for one of my trucks was going to be 4500 bucks. I'll have my truck back to my house for less than 1000
Then dont buy it.
@@JohnSmithKillFeds I don't believe this guy even has trucks
Towing trucks backwards is fine you don't have to drop the driveshaft. Also you have every opportunity to use the tractors you have in you fleet. Please remember to make sure if you have any cab extenders to make sure to use ratchet straps to secure them. This is especially true if you run a Volvo. This is a voice of experience coming at you driver 👍👍
if you have a freightliner you better remove the cab extenders.....
This sounds like a valuable tip. I’m not familiar w the details yet, definitely need a checklist and Phone support from a mechanic familiar with a range of trucks, can’t expect a tow driver in the field to know everything.

you need a wet kit??
No. Battery operated.
Este sistema no megusta. Lo veo inseguro
The seatbelt works and is already there. I’ve used ratchet straps from both sides when I didn’t have anything else.
that's a cool toy but that steel looks a bit thin to be towing that much weight IMO
Nice..... 👍
you have gone to all that trouble to make this device and all you can come up with to hold the steeringwheel in place is a seatbelt , well !
😂😂😂😂
That's the method Wreckers use when towing trucks... well!😉
where do I buy one?
Excellant video
I can make one of thos thanks for the idea
Did you ever do this? Trying to find out who can supply and use these with dot approval and insurance
I just use a chain and another drive to steer the other truck in nutral and all he gotta do is keep some tenchion on the chain and stear, lol thats thing is a wast of time
Your comment was a waste of time
@Anthony Nesbitt with your method what happens when you run out of air? I think this would save a hell of alot of money to be able to tow your own truck back home the chain method works ok in a car for a short distance but what about if you need to tow it hundreds of miles?
I like the cut of his jib
Bien tutorial gracias. Ya aprendí
Thank you for building a good product I've towed several of my trucks thousands of miles I do use 1/2 in hi grade chain though great product I paid for it in 2 tows and saved thousands of dollars in mechanic bills on the road
It's not a wrecker!!! It's simply a tow device, it has no wrecker capability!! Please call it correctly
Add winch POOF you've got a wrecker, not quit arguing semantics and move on
