It was great to see someone react to a Detective Conan AMV! Yes, the anime came out in 1996, but as the series has progressed, the animation quality improved with the anime standards of the time. A lot of the cuts in this AMV were from various Detective Conan movies, so the animation is a cut above the current television anime episodes. Currently, there have been 1124 anime episodes produced and still ongoing, nearly a dozen OAV's, and 27 theatrical-released movies. There have even been a couple live-action television series made based on Detective Conan. You're right about the basic premise of the series, that it's about a child detective that solves mysteries. But that is the MOST SIMPLIFIED definition of the story possible. In reality, the series is so much more than that. At the start of the story, Conan finds himself fairly alone in his quest to hunt down a malicious crime syndicate that harmed him and changed his life forever, but eventually, he forms connections to, and even strong alliances with Japanese police departments all up and down the country, the FBI (who were working on the same goal as Conan in Japan, covertly), the CIA, the Japanese Secret Police, and even double agents from within the evil syndicate that he is trying to take down. So, the Detective Conan series itself can be quite varied as the basic formula of the series goes along, Conan solving mysteries, as a huge cast of characters comes and goes. One week it might be a lighthearted episode involving the group of kids that became Conan's friends, who all want to solve mysteries like Conan does, then the next episode might be a continuation of a love story between two police lieutenants that frequent many of the crime scenes Conan gets involved in. Then we might get a battle of wits between Conan and The Kaito Kid, a master magician & master of disguise who is on a quest of his own, who is always on the hunt for rare and valuable jewels to steal, trying to find the one he seeks. (Kaito Kid was the manga series the author created before he hit paydirt with Detective Conan.) Episodes where rival detectives who became Conan's protective friends and allies come to visit and get embroiled in a mystery along with Conan are always a treat. There are episodes that tug on the heartstrings as people in Conan's life are suffering due to being separated from the ones they love. When we're really lucky, we get episodes that move The Main Plot along, and Conan comes in contact with the Black Organization (that's what he calls them), so those episodes are full of danger and intrigue, for sure! If you haven't tried it before now, you really ought to give Detective Conan/Case Closed a try! Don't be daunted by the length of the series, if you like it, you'll get pulled into it, and you can go at your own pace. Some people get a list from online that will inform them of just the episodes of the anime that are based on the manga, and skip all the anime-only episodes, and get through the series much faster that way.

Gintoki is a great swordsman. A bit unusual, but still one of the best. There isn't really any "power of friendship", and characters get hurt and can get careless in fights even if the odds are with or against them. The bonds they do make, friendships and such, can give characters motivation and determination, but it never gives them power-ups. There are some characters that are stronger than Gintoki, and it is impossible for him to win against in a fair one-on-one fight. But Gin has a lot of skill and experience, and he is monstrously strong by human standards.

I recommend playing the Gilgamesh route of Fate/Extra CCC before passing judgement on Gil's character. You will soon find that he's almost nothing like how you imagined him to be

The anime is definitely rough in quality, but the novels are pretty good. I'm not a fan of how it ended exactly, but I loved it up until that point. The face you see in most of the anime for the spider isn't how it actually looks to others, they gave it a more humanoid look for the expressions when it's in her perspective

I'm extremely upset while writing this, do or don't take it personally or as a window into my character. But, respectfully, stfu. Are you not seeing the absolute stakes and heat that is appearing on your screen? Are you too busy in your own little "SAO=Bad" world that you can't see what is happening? Like Kirito didn't even choose to be in the game this time, well not fully, he literally was kidnapped and put into it with no way out. And it wasn't friendship that revived Kirito, they reconstucted his fluctlight using his friend's fluctlights using Higa's help on the outside connecting their fluctlights together, reconstructing Kirito's ego switch. Also, there quite litterally millions of lives at stake in alicization, and no, Kirito cannot logout, he's braindead on the otherside. Also Kirito goes back to games because to him the SAO incident isn't over, he is always looking toward what Aincrad had meant and what the event caused for the future of technology, that's just who he is. Also Kirito and Asuna spent most all of year 1 of Aincrad together before splitting up because of an [undisclosed reason]. Then they reunited during the Golden Apple Muder Mystery and were together for a couple of months before they cannonically fucked and got married. At first Yui seemed like a weird addition, but she grows on you and in Unital Ring is genuinely a really good character. So, basically, stfu. All you do this entire reaction is complain, and then contradict your own points. The Aincrad Anime Arc skips a lot of stuff, but in the end it's from a collection of short stories that were originally not in timeline order, and not the official telling of the entire Aincrad story. Fairy Dance was slow paced but all in all was a good introduction to life outside Aincrad and what it meant for Kirito to find Asuna, while giving Sugu the most overpowered character development in anime. Phantom Bullet is a masterpeice of shared trauma, murder mystery and what it means to have killed, and why memory is important. A theme that has been present throughout all of Sword Art Online and continues to be present as the story progresses. The ability to be brave enough to remember who you have killed, to be strong enough to remember what has wronged you and to be kind enough to be remembered when you are gone. Respectfully, when you don't know enough about a series, keep your dogwater opinions to yourself, especially when reacting to the very content that proves you wrong in that it has continued to flourish into a series with over 30 light novels, 4 different mobile games throughout the years, over 5 console and PC games as well as IRL Mixed Reality centers specifically for Sword Art Online in japan. I'm obviously mad because instead of reacting or even acting intrigued you diss on a show you barely remember and dropped because you thought the insightful storytelling of Phantom Bullet was boring. Newsflash Kirito was on the job and getting paid a ton to investigate Death Gun. And he got back into FDVR because of Sugu and was able to be closer to Asuna through ALO where they were able to meet with their friends. Aincrad wasn't just a tragedy to them, it was there lives where they made friends and lived for two whole years, this is even addresed several times that people found it weird that they would keep playing FDVR games, Silica is bullied by comments like that constantly and even she doesn't know the answer fully, just that VR is where her friends are, and Pina, and that's enough for her. I really don't get why you'd agree to react to new SAO stuff, to then just bash on your limited knowledge of the series without paying attention to the animation or lyrics that are telling a story, then when you do pay attention you begin to make fun of it by calling it heart of the cards friendship, which I must tell you that heart of the cards is a byproduct of the fate altering magic from the millenium puzzle, not from friendship, friendship was just the wish Yugi made and therefore the only thing that keeps him going during tough times. And as I explained it was a technical reconstruction of Kirito's self-image circuit from the residual memory of Kirito within his closest friend's fluctlights. Asuna his lover, Suguha his sister, Sinon his best friend, and Eugeo his childhood friend and best friend during his time in the Underworld.

They animated part of the prologue for Beseria in the Zestiria anime. After playing both games they should have done Beseria story instead of Zestiria, but it was a lot darker story
