making my own rn, been doing research, have several different design pathways all using different methods of force for the plunger. The pneumatic is super simple but the actuators just dont have much force at all esp for the larger injections and im afraid it wont cut it.. A hydraulic one using an old compressor motor and a power steering pump for the hydraulic pump, and an mechanical electric powered screw jack (3 ton car scissor jack) all methods work in practice but i dont want to continue the pneumatic actuator because of low force capability. The screw jack one is super simple. Any of you all have experience doing larger parts with a pneumatic air cylinder?

If requested will you make two of those same machines for a small workshop for children back to school

Awesome stuff, is there a video on how you milled the mold out? Wondering if plastic injection molds have to be milled on 5 axis CNC's or if they can be milled on 3 axis ones?

Im in the plastics industry 29yrs and from everything ive seen,this is really a "cool" and basic machine. Im planning my own as well due to small mouldings to be made for my hobby which is model trains(HO scale for me😂😎)already has started to make miniature molds for these articles. The machine is already determined to be similar, though im gonna use toggle connector pieces for the clamping side along with servos for both sides. Im interested in your electronics side of that machine so ill be waiting patiently😅

I Like this design, the only thing i would add is a sliding backplate with an ejectorplate as well.. that would make for faster work.. but then again.. this design is great for simple parts that you just can pull out.. An Adjustable Clamping system like a ViceGrip would also be great.. But the best part of this machine is the simplicity...

This is exactly what I'm looking for! A simple, robust, cost effective setup that'll allow me to do initial prototyping of small parts related to rapid battery assembly that'll be outsourced for large volumes. Think I'll do some redesigning to add another pneumatic cylinder for mold clamping.

This machine of yours is very beautiful. Whether the machines are powered by power packs or not and how the machine is run on air hydraulic cylinders.
