Founded in 1883 by B.T. Smith and J.A. Cowen, THE EQUITY was originally located on Main Street in Bryson, Que. before moving to Shawville in the early 1900s. The office was then relocated to its present location at 133 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec in the County of Pontiac, West Quebec.
The newspaper has always maintained "A fair representation through the columns of the press" as it was so stated in its first edition back on June 7, 1883.

Canadian horses: Michel Allen raises masters of versatility

Michel Allen has worked with horses his whole life. Growing up, he lived on a farm where horse power was being converted to machine power, but his love of the animal remained. He fell in love with the Canadian horse, an endangered breed, for its versatility and intelligence, and for the last 10 year he has been breeding them at Élevage Fabie. Luskville brothers Carson and Tait Becke have been part of the music world for their whole lives, even living together in London while doing their undergrad at the Royal Academy of Music. The Norway Bay Municipal Association (NBMA) hosted its annual air bands event on July 31. Groups of performers lip-synced and danced to a variety of songs. To start off the evening the children who participated in a new musical theatre course offered by the NBMA performed a medley of numbers from "Annie".

"Gloria in Excelsis" was presented by "Under the Pines" Music Festival on Sunday, July 24, 2016. The concert took place at St. Mary's Church, Quyon, Quebec. Generalist horses are the real horses that bore the hard work and the burdens of our wars. By saving the Canadian horse, you are saving one of man’s best friends. This type of horse were everywhere in Appalachia sixty-five years ago when I was a small boy.
Lucifer is my filly's grand-sire! This was so cool to watch, thank you for everything you do for the Canadian horse, they really are the Equine world's best kept secret---hopefully people will start buying them more/using them more in competition because trust me you won't be disappointed. Adult Amateurs, do you want a horse that will be competitive in the dressage/hunters/eventing/eq ring, but also want something that you can also chill and take a trail ride on/throw your kiddo on? This is it, this is the horse!
