Motorola Moto G85 Exceeded my Expectations…(Full Review)
Переглядів 839Місяць тому
The Motorola Moto G85 review is here, and I gotta say, this phone far exceeded my expectations… I knew Motorola had a great range of smartphones and good specs when it comes to camera, display, processors, battery…etc. but I wouldn’t have thought it would actually perform so well when put to test. To be fair, it wouldn’t be the first time I come across a promising technical sheet for a product ...

The Apple Ecosystem and Other Alternatives - An Overview
Переглядів 1882 місяці тому
The apple ecosystem has many great features and can link your iPhone, MacBook and many other devices through the iCould, but how does it compare with Samsung or other systems available on the market? And what are the drawbacks while we’re at it? The apple ecosystem was mentioned quite a few times on this channel, so I think it’s time I make a video on this topic. In this video, I’ll break down ...

On top of that, I will make some comparisons along the way with some other competitors' products and technologies out there w...

Hi Bro, about the lockscreen. Ofcourse IOS is amazing, a sort of thing you can have is lockscreen app from good lock. You can sort of customize it and enable it. That might help with second lock screen. However, not as smooth and good as ios which is in lock itself ❤
Thank you for the tip! A lot of people have recommended Good Lock, but for some reason I can't find it. Considering that the lockscreen is not a deal breaker for me, I didn't really look into alternatives. However, I'll start testing launchers to see if I can overcome stuff like this. S.N.
Great one ! 😊❤️ Your videos came in my yt suggestion and i stayed for the quality of your content. ... ( Just a simple feedback for you :- i felt the video was a little dark whenever you were appearing & i had to turn up my brightness.)
Thank you so much for the compliment!❤️ I know light has been poor, but we just bought better lighting and that's an issue of the past. You can see the difference in the AirPods 4 ANC Review, in the second part (the video is filmed in two different days). Let me know if that's better. S.N.
@ you are right. Checked out that vid & the 2nd part was good. All the best for future.
What do you like most about your phone? ☎️
my fav thing about using an android phone? being able to buy a 1 year old top of the line SoC phone for around 350-400 euros...literally this
The price point of view is valid and will always be one of Android's strengths. As I said in the Motorola Moto G85 review, cheap Android phones have come a long waaaaay, and I love. Also, exactly what you said, you can find phones which put the focus on the SoC, for the power, and cut some costs in other areas that might not be that important for people. Thank you for sharing your input!😊 S.N.
You will be back 😂 once your honeymoon is over
iPhone is insanely “boring” outstanding. It gets the job done. But we all know it’s not just about the “iPhone” it’s about the complete ecosystem that complements each other.
When you grow up or better job, you go iPhone. In the meantime, if you’re broke, you just hate on Apple. Word!!!
I have the AirPods 4 with anc and they are the best headphones I’ve ever owned
Glad to hear you enjoy them!😊 S.N.
If only airpod was nicely integrated with android 😢 still stuck with no update cos no iphone on airpod pro 2.... sad life
Indeed, such a shame Apple does not provide some support for them outside the ecosystem. 😒 S.N.
What's your take on these headphones? Do you think they're worth $200? 🤔Or would you go for something else?
For years I have been going back and forth.. which is why I have an Android (S24+) and iPhone now. Which, err, also means I flip-flop every other week now instead of every other year
Interesting. What would make you use only one? Are there specific features that you cannot give up on both? Thank you for the input! S.N.
@@DigitalDash-on6ce Android provides me the least resistance: with the universal back gesture, the much better keyboard (I prefer Gboard) and of course the ability to mould things in a shape you like. On the iOS side, I love the visual consistency and polish in the UI (even though the Ux often is everything but), the integration with my Macbook, better photography in apps, focus modes are great as well, as are shortcuts... and the fact that my wife and son use iPhones. iOS still feels a lot more polished. I'm quite firmly on the Android side these days though. The S24+ is the best Android hardware I've used so far, and that made a big difference compared to my previous Android handsets.
The thumbnail and the title is just not right!
Hi! Thumbnail wise, we test 3 different wallpapers to see which style fits our videos and audience the best. We are aware that there's a lot of work to do from this point of view, and we promise to improve more and sooner. Sorry if it did not resonate with you. As for the title, can you please tell us why you think it is inappropriate? Thank you for the feedback! S.N.
Android, Iphone? Nah bruh, I just use my Portable Samsung Fridge 🗿🗿
Chad energy right here! 💪💪💪
iOS= Optimization Android= Customization
They're both improving on all ends, but I believe some new competition would be nice and better for the consumer. S.N.
Ios= spyware Android=spyware+bloatwares. 😂
@ real. 😂
I love both. I use my samsung because I can sideload and the possibility of using custom roms after the official software support ends. For the iPhone, I like to use it more on social media because it uploads photos and videos in higher quality (my samsung takes good photos but the apps compress it a lot that when uploaded, it looks like it came from a potato phone)
Fair enough! You're getting the best of both worlds! Out of curiosity, what custom ROMs have you tried and considered to be the best? Thank you for the input!🫡 S.N.
12:12 losing value quickly can be considered a good thing if you want to buy last year's Android flagships at a great price
That's a very good point of view. I think Samsung is pretty much the only company which is the exception. Thank you for that!🫡🫡 S.N.
I never had an iPhone and never want to belong to a cult..lol I love the huge variety of Android phones available out there. Motorola and Google and let’s not forget all those Chinese brands today are making great phones now.
Indeed, Apple managed to create a cult in some aspects, but it doesn't deny the fact that their devices are good. Some of them are just crazy expensive. However, I completely agree with the Android point. As far as my testing goes, no major complains whatsoever. Thank you for the input!🫡 S.N.
Simple question… Android or iPhone? And why?
iPhone it’s more easy to use and and it’s a more beautiful phone and more easy to find cases in the iOS system is more beautiful and feels more premium
What Samsung model did you get? I don't see it listed.
I got a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB. S.N.
The back feature on iOS are inconsistent between apps. You can't say you can just tap anywhere on the screen and just swipe right to go back. I'm also thinking about pixel 10 this year from iphone. Not because one is way better than the other but just bored of iOS after 5 years. Most of the reasons I left pixels are pretty much addressed so looking forward for some fresh change. Good luck on your switch. Like you, keyboards are also an annoyance on iOS for me. I know it's pretty and 1st world problems but hey, that's what most of the viewers are. The mass will just stick to whatever works til it breaks.
I switch to a Google Pixel and it's a breath of fresh air.
Thank you for the detailed review here with real life pros and cons. This helped me to NOT buy the iPhone 13 now (its still costing 44K rupees - around $550 USD) PS: Last year, when I was upgrading my smartphone, I kept few conditions in place: 1. Must have charger in the box. 2. Amoled display 3. Should not cost more than 30K rupees (around $250 USD) 4. Must be the top model of that series. Ended up buying OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It came with 80W charger and a case. Its promised to get two major OS upgrades (already got android 14) and 3 years of security updates. Not gonna lie, I think I got a solid phone considering the price and the way its performing so far with great battery life and solid performance.
I just returned my iPhone 16 pro and bought myself a 13.
got g85 for 200 euro here in Austria...loving this phone
We love it too! Very good performer! Thank you for the input!🫡 S.N.
I used 12 pro till last month from 2021 beginning. But in 2years it started to give problems in charging with any cable as the port wasn't recognising it limiting me to use only wireless charging which is very slow and battery depleted to 79% health within 3yrs. So i had to move to s23 ultra bcos i had bad experience with my first ever iphone
U got just 700 subs ?? I thought this was a high end channel with over 100k subs 😮😮😮😮
Hopefully we get there soon! Thank you for the compliment!😊😊 S.N.
I don't really like apple because how overpriced their stuff is, they have a macbook for $2000 i aint paying that much for a computer to be honest. and their ipads are overpriced, and their watches are to and so are their headphones
@preston8872 Thank you for the input! As an Apple user for quite a long time, their products always have performed well for me. It depends on what you need from a device, mainly. I believe the MacBook Air is kind of overpriced. The iPad Pro is incredibly expensive and, for someone like me, does not make any sense to buy such thing, but there are people, like artwork creators, who make money with such devices. That's the moment when it starts to make sense. As for PCs/Laptop, again, it depends on what you want from them. For general use and some gaming, you can get a good machine for way less than $999, so yeah. I'm going to build a PC next year, so stay tuned! S.N.
I'm actually thinkin about going to a Motorola phone as I have had alot of Samsung phones, just want somthing new and want different ui for once, I haven't used a Motorola since 2020, I have mainly had samsung phones. I'm looking to buy my second motorola maybe.
@preston8872 You will definitely not be disappointed! As I mentioned in the other comment to you, check the Moto G Stylus as well, you might like that one better! S.N.
@DigitalDash-on6ce ok. Idk if I would use the Stylus that's the thing though. I would probably just get the Motorola G 5G 2024 or Motorola G Power 5G 2024. As I don't think I would ever use the Stylus, and may be afraid I would lose it
I really like what Motorola has to offer when it comes to their G series phones
Me too! Glad to see Motorola doing a good job again! 🥳 S.N.
which motorola phone is this for the US?
I couldn't find it on the official US Motorola website. You can get the international version from Amazon for around $250. However, if you want something similar and from their website, I highly recommend the Moto G Stylus. You get the same phone, but with a better chip and a stylus included for $250. I believe it's one of the best deals at this price range. S.N.
I believe this phone is worth every cent! Which brand do you think makes the best budget-friendly phones? 🤔
i would definitely say motorola makes good budget phones with all around prices at each price point. second option would be the Samsung A series their price is ehh ok i would say but their phones dont go on discounts like Motorolas G series does.
@preston8872 The A series is definitely decent and tempting. I'm not a big fan of One UI, though. Samsung have their perks, and it depends on people's taste here. But I agree, A series is a good choice at any budget! S.N.
While Moto wont give you that much OS update support. I really appreciate not having Bad Bloatware.
I agree, doesn't seem like they want to invest on that end a lot. I'd love them to continue with the security patches at least 3 years, maybe they'll take that into consideration in 2025. And yes, some of the bloatware is actually useful on this phone. 😂😂 S.N.
I've been using the Samsung A14 5G since March 2023 (19 months ago). Wonderful phone. Remarkably capable: phone, text, email, Zoom & Teams meetings, Skype calls, streaming video, web surfing, photos, casual photo manipulation, e-magazine & e-book reading, light gaming, and probably a couple of other things I haven't remembered. I'm very happy with this phone. I’ve not experienced the lags mentioned in the review.
pixel 7 pro is a good option too
I agree, solid option. I'm not the biggest fan of Google Tensor, but the Pixel Phones are very well optimised and the cameras are amazing, in general. Thank you for the input!🫡 S.N.
Nice vid do i chose the iphone 13 or the cmf phone1
It depends on what you need. Keep in mind that the CMF doesn't have NFC, so no Google Pay (or any other contactless payment methods/apps). The iPhone 13, on the other hand, is stuck at 60 Hz Refresh Rate, so it might feel slow (even though it's a powerful phone). So take your time and think about what you need. Both options are good, in my opinion. S.N.
Hey everyone! What do you think of budget phones? Do you have one you would recommend? 🤔 Let me know! 🙌
I think budget phones are really good for the price that they offer for people nowadays, their not that bad to be hoenst, as people think they are, they just never have used them.
@preston8872 I agree, we've come a long way! Cheap phones are definitely offering a lot for their price! S.N.
True bro, I have checked out CMF Phone 1, it is out of the world what smoothness it has in its Nothing OS for that price. Just the NFC thing you said, breaks the deal...... Great picks 👍 ❤
Unfortunately, I simply need Google Pay. I don't really get why they didn't implement NFC on the phone, but I guess not a lot of people care or realise. For the first iteration, though, amazing job. Thank you for sharing your opinion! Much appreciated! ☺️ S.N.
Interesting selection. I was looking at the Motorola G54. How would you compare that one with the Motorola G Power 5G?
Pretty much the same phone. The G Power is a bit bigger, but the same IPS, it is launched in 2024, so it will come with Android 14 out of the box. I'm not sure about the software updates, but you probably get 2 years of major software releases and 3 for security patches on both. Another small difference would be the charging speed, the G Power goes up to 30W, whereas the G54 can only do 15W. You don't get a charging brick with any, though😅. The last thing, G54 comes with up to 12 GB of RAM, while the G Power comes with 8 GB, but can be expanded to 16 GB when needed. All in All, both look to be a good choice. I've put the G Power because it's launched this year and it's around $200 all the time. The G54 is pretty much the same phone, spec wise, so it depends on what deals you find. If you go for the G54, please pay attention to the RAM memory it comes with, make sure to get the 12 GB one. S.N.
Great video, very informative and honest. I can do screenshots of my Bank details so maybe yours is bank specific. Also, when you build your Windows 11 PC, don't forget to install Nearby Share (sometimes known as Quick Share). This is pretty much Airdrop on Android/Windows. It comes preinstalled on Android.
Had a similar model, battery would last more than two days, but a few weeks after, it barely lasted a day.
Interesting, I haven't encountered this issue yet. Maybe it's something that will get resolved with the next SW upgrade. S.N.
honestly i feel like if you aren't a "power user" this phone is great
I agree, for most of the people (who only do the basics) will be enough. I'm not sure how long it will work decently, but only time will tell. S.N.
A real cheap phone would be a iPhone 6s, still a absolutely usable phone for near everything you’d do on a phone, but software is making it obsolete the hardware still does everything youd need
A phone which goes EOS will still be usable for a few years, as most of the apps do not require the latest SW version. I heard a lot of people with 6s being happy with it and not wanting to change, which is fair enough! S.N.
I actually asked this question on another channel, but I can ask here, too. My current phone is a lovely blue 12 Pro Max. The main issue I can sense is the battery health being at 77% right now. There is also a bit of a lag when it comes to some applications, but overall, experience is quite smooth. The phone condition is pristine (I do take care of my stuff pretty well). It is quite heavy, though, but the only reason I purchased 12 Pro Max over Pro was the camera quality. I'd much rather have a smaller device with better cameras since photography is a true hobby of mine. I'm generally feeling OK with my current 12 Pro Max, but the new 16 Pro seems appealing on a few ends. However, I agree that the battery is also a game changer. Of course, most people will be impressed with the battery in their new phones within the first few to six months and maybe a little beyond, but how about two or three or four years down the road? Will the new 16 Pro's battery still maintain the same health as my current 12 Pro Max? Questions, questions, questions. Thoughts?
To be completely honest, I wasn't really impressed with the battery on the 16 Pro. I mean yes, it lasts at least a day with any kind of usage, but in the future it will definitely suffer. I'd say that apart from the Pro Max and Plus models, the battery life will be quite the same with what Apple has offered until now. However, for the normal ones size (6.1" and 6.3"), the battery is decent, their optimisation is quite good. If you would go for a 16 Pro, you will definitely see an upgrade (especially on the cameras), but you won't be impressed by the battery, but in fairness, not a lot of phones will be that good with the battery. S.N.
@@DigitalDash-on6ce thank you. I appreciate your honest opinion. It does offer me another perspective.
Hey can you do a review of the Foxx phone I really want to see what you would think about it 😅
I just had a look over what they offer, ns they look interesting. However, hard to find it here, in Eastern Europe. I'll do my best to get one and see what it is capable of. S.N.
hey, im deciding on buying an iphone 13 which is in my budget currently, is it worth going for it when going into 2025?
Hi! Well, depends on what you need and how long you can keep your current phone. Overall, the 13 will work well for you, as long as you don't mind the 60Hz display. If you wait for 2025, you might be able to find a 13 Pro for the same budget, but it depends on what you want from your phone. S.N.
Was the phone brand new or used?
I got it brand new for about $140. S.N.
Yep, Apple is convenience and useful but locked eco Google / Microsoft more useful
I agree, the Apple ecosystem is the easiest to use, very intuitive and very efficient. What do you prefer between Apple and Google/Microsoft? S.N.
@@DigitalDash-on6ce oh It’s a huge and interesting question )) I’m using simultaneously Android devices since 2010 and Apple - since 2014, yep and some period - Windows phones (it was fascinating time). Apple eco gives reliability, useful tools, but locked you inside. You have no straight communication with other services and tools. For example: if all company works on Windows, and all software on this platform - you can’t use Mac in this environment. Google eco gives brilliant communication across all devices. Android flexible and more useful, but has some lags and instability. Microsoft provides eco almost for every aspect of life: business, work, study, personal needs. Available everywhere, but here and there clumsy, buggy and unreliable. So, even after so many years I have a choice and, with this, some hesitations: reliable, convenient but locked Apple or flexible, useful but slightly buggy Android. What you prefer?
Iphones are overpriced. Yes, once you get used to iPhones, it would be hard to transition. But for most people who dont care. A cheap android phone is enough.
I wouldn't necessarily say overpriced. As long as you keep your phone for 3+ years, it will be worth it. Their SH/Refurbished value is overpriced, though🥲. It also depends on what you want and need. Generally, though, I agree with the fact that a cheap phone can be enough for a lot of people. Thank you for the input! S.N.
I use Google because it's not hardware restricted. I can use UA-cam, Gmail, Google Drive, etc on anything: Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, Mac, whatever other hardware there is.
It’s a wise decision
Thank you for your input and sharing your experience! Fair play to you, being hardware restricted can be a big disadvantage. I personally feel it right now. S.N.
Quick Story of my non-Apple Ecosystem 😂 : - Got Airpods Pro 2 as a Prize 😃 - Dont own any other apple product. - Used my android to daily drive Airpods for about 6 months. - Had issue, no battery indicator, so settings, no apps, no way to change sound profile but just connect and let Airpods own control do the rest. - After 6 month, the Right Ead Bud got "Stuck" on Noise Cancelation mode. Fully functional but glitched. - Turns out, nothing would work untill I get it linked to an apple device, no way to firmware upgrade or reflash or like anything. - Last resort, today, installed MacOS Big Sur on Virtual Machine, connected Airpods to it so that I could enable "no mode" in them and disable "Transparency". - Sadly need MacOS 13 or higher for Airpods auto update its firmware. - Still need to find someone with iPhone or iPad to get this fixed, on internet it says is pretty common and gets fixed with firmware upgrade......... The quality of Airpods Pro 2 is frankly unmatched with wireless charging, premium touch vibration, all audio profiles and what not... Simply unreal. Just sad that the ecosystem is so highly guarded, it is knowingly made for you to feel isolated with a single device and dependent on other apple products. (PS : Turns out the Airpod was bought on 2023 so no a Apple Care)
Thank you for sharing your experience! Unfortunately, this is what Apple is the best at, making sure they lure you into their products. I also love Airpods, but I got a pair of Sony headphones which doesn’t care about what phone I use. As a matter of fact, since I got the Samsung, I actually have more control over them. I looked a bit over the internet and yes, you'll need an Apple device. Can you not emulate MacOS 13? You could also try with at an Apple Store, maybe someone will help you there. I hope you get it fixed soon! S.N.
@@DigitalDash-on6ce will be trying MacOS 13 soon. I am outside my city and sadly no apple store here. Thanks for that suggestion
