ATV-TALK Podcast
United States
Приєднався 16 жов 2020
My father, Danny Duncan, who gave me my first ride on an ATC 90, the year 1969, got me hooked. Starting on three wheelers moving to the modern ATVs, has taken me around the world for 30 years, mostly as a mechanic, with some racing stories of my own. This gives me a perspective that will allow me to take you backwards and forward in time to talk to our ATV heroes from old and new times. Why ATV-TALK? My answer is that we all have a story to tell. Not only do I have a story to tell, but the amazing men and women in the ATV industry have stories to tell. There's no outlet, no way to tell their stories. I want to let everyone's story be heard. There are so many amazing things that happened, that the fans or the general population never get to hear. In ATV-TALk you'll get to hear about your hero. For ATV off road enthusiasts. We talk from rigid three wheelers to present day ATV's, motorcycles, and UTVs. There is no age barrier nor gender, everyone is welcome. ATV-TALK travels world wide.
Episode 327 Ed Teixeira: “ Farm Boy Turned Suspension Designer”
Ed Teixeira’s journey in the ATV world started in the 80s and 90s when he raced TRX 250Rs. Growing up on a farm, he developed mechanical skills by maintaining equipment alongside his family. Those early experiences laid the foundation for his future in suspension design. As his passion for ATV performance grew, so did his drive to create better-handling machines. Eventually, selling the family farm gave him the opportunity to turn his expertise into a career, shaping the future of ATV and UTV suspension.
Join us as we dive into the story from farm life to designing high-performance suspension components.

Nice make a back rest accessory for the 700 pro. The G2 had a backrest
I think Brandon will be the next champion . If anybody can take it from Hetrick it’s him . Look at the heart the dude has , He’s a worrier .
I never understood why people look at age. My belief is if you can still do then why not why does age always come up. If an older man can do what a younger man can then I don’t know why it’s harder for us to become a pro athlete at anything your into.
I started racing a 200x followed by an 84 250R then an 85 250R followed finally by an 86 Fourtrax 250R. I have a couple old Betamax videos from 85 on my channel.
Hey bro you still build? I really need one
YES WE DO CHECK OUT NEW DIRWHEELS
Make America 2-strokes again!!
Will try
BRING BACK THE PAST'' ATC RULE!! 👊👍✌
The modern day tricks are pretty cool
I love hearing the stories from the Bob Sloan/Mickey Thompson timeframe. So much great history there. Great job once again 🏆🏁
Those were the days miss them
A journal is such a simple idea. Seems like it would be a no-brainer but I don’t know how many times I’ve done something and said that I’d remember and completely forget when or what I changed 6 months later. 😅 Another great episode Leonard. Thank you for sharing this knowledge. 🙏🏻
Thank you If there is a topic you would like to hear about please let me know
The depth isn't like it was. Atv motocross has become a high end East Coast sport. Quads used to be everywhere and now you hardly see bikes. The entire motorsports category is in decline.
Thanks you Lenny and Joe. Sorry I missed the live. I enjoy this show alot.
thank you for. your. support
It would be cool to see Josh retire as a pro class champion
I would like to see that also
Love all the 3 wheeler content, thanks
Is RacerTV not doing the 30 minute race Shows with Jason Weigandt for the 24 Races?
👍👍
Thanks for another great conversation, Lenny 🫡
Than you always a good time
I’m glad you finally got Gennusa on . He’s a great dude
Yes he is had a great time talking with him
Thanks dudes.
I love this journey down memory lane. I was a poor rider who never raced or got beyond a 200x. But I did make a few trips to Loretta Lynn's to photograph the race a few years, 85 to 89. I have a few photos of Tom, Ted, Jeff Barnard and Mike Holbert et. al. Including one with Tom, Me and Mark W. that I got Phil Beckman to take as a souvenir. Thanks.
That banshee is sick 🔥🔥🔥 best one I’ve seen so far
Maci Devenport sure looks different than I remember 😂 Love your work on these interviews
Thank you
Great interview!!
Of course the Hammer won. Dwai
I like my stiffer front with a softer rear as well 😋
THE GEN 3 MACHINE IS PRETTY COOL
25000€ in Europe😊
The digger
Great interview. It’s nice to see a young lady with such a great head on her shoulders. Pretty impressive
The only video of the legends race is from you . If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t believe it ever happened . That’s plain out pathetic especially since it was considered “ the most anticipated race of the century “ .
Great interview Leonard! Dave is such a great guy and makes the best Blendzall 2 stroke racing castor oil too. I really hope to hear a follow-up interview at some point. I’m sure he has plenty of stories. Love your content
That banshee is beautiful
watching from Kansas.....no quad racing here tho....
Love the build but man you gotta keep the headlights on. That’s the banshee look. Oem headlights should be on all banshees.
THIS WAS BUILT TO RIDE IN THE MUD
Angela Moore was one of the sexiest women back then and still is 😍🤣🤣 she was and still is a badass
I said something about these promoters sucking and the clown from ripitup said I was always negative and this sport don’t need negativity 🤣🤣
Yes bring back the ltr450 🤟🤟🤟🤟 to fix the trans just put a billet trans in it .
Mx guys are too close minded to run anything other than small tires . I run XC wheels and clear everything on the mx track . Look at Walker Fowler clearing Godzilla on XC wheels . If the mx pros can’t run bigger tires then don’t call yourself a pro .
I love the races where for some reason the usual podium runners are out of the top spots . Every dog has his day 🤟🤟
101hp is the same as a Honda Africa Twin 1100cc. At what point are the engines goin to be tuned for longer runnin as aposed to piont an squirt heavy on the fuel runners.lower Revs but more torc.?
Hi guys. Do Rotax do a 1300cc engine as I’m lookin for something to do a Round the world tour. I’ve been thinkin about the Canam 6x6 bcs of all my gear but a bigger more stronger lump would be great. Any knowledge would be welcome. Many thanks . 🙏🙏👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🌎🌎
Can Am cuts a lot of corners, and real experience shows. They do a lot of presentations focused on hp, and new aesthetics, along with the electronic features, but they are not well designed or built.
Can Am’s simply aren’t built well, and quality control is a major issue. Can Am should use better quality components on their CVT P-Drive design, as they are prone to wear bearings rather quickly, engine motor mounts are already breaking on the new Can Am chassis. There are numbers of issues with Can Am in general, but the new design has some problems.
Hello there! Have you had a chance to ride the new G3? If so, I’d love to hear your thoughts. It would be great if you could list any problems you've noticed with specific details. Your first comment made me wonder if you’ve actually ridden, worked on, or seen this machine. Thank you for engaging with us!

Nice way to end Lenny. It was sure good to see you and Doug again be better to do it in person though maybe someday huh? Enjoyed the four part series did a real good job.
Beautiful machine!

Great interview Team Blind. Keep sharing the message.
Don't be surprised if MXSPORTS drops the ATV NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in a few years Inside word is that the ATV MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP NATIONALS aren't making MXSPORTS enough money to make them happy enough....
Kaylee says thanks for the shout out
Great topic, racing is complex.
Great to see Barry McCarty again after all these years. We raced at the Memphis Motorsports park in '89 or '90. I raced open pro on a LT500 (got 4th that day behind Turk & Eubanks) but had the pleasure of lining up with Barry for some hot practice laps. My hero did not disappoint. He was one fast dude...and one of the only guys still racing a Suzuki 😎 He made my day at the end of practice when he looked back at me as if to say, who the heck is that kid? Lol, such fun times.
yes it was a pleasure to see him
I love seeing the ltr450 In pro class 🤟🤟
