There are a few videos about that on the internet already. If you have a record player hooked up to an audio interface, then it's really easy to -Record each bit -Chop up -normalize sound then use the desktop P-6 sampler drop in program. If you don't or can't hook the record player up, then the easiest way is just using the p-6's onboard microphone, or connecting an external mic I do plan to make a demo of using this to record field recorded samples, and that would essentially be the same as the second method.

Thanks for listening and sharing your perception! I think the S-1 was stock (+VSTs) except the knobs I was turning during performance. The Minifreak was just acting as midi during this song, I used Kontakt (hypha and piano uno layered) with some VSTs (Vinyl, Mell-o) for added grit/lo-fi

@@ElectricFeverDream it's pretty advanced for me too. I feel like I need to do prep work before the camera is on, setting up arps, tempo changes, etc, then remembering the order of triggering them. Alas... Your videos/full sets are an aspiration of mine, although I probably won't have anywhere near the level of production, costumes, lighting, etc

@@MKVCreations I bought a second hand Aira J-6 and E-4 (from the singer of The Faint via reverb) and it came with this stand. From what I can tell, it looks exactly like an Etsy seller called "Synths and Wood"

@@Stevesie_09 I was before filming, but actually in this instance the S-1 isn't adding anything to this performance 😅 All of the Aira compact instruments connect and work well together really easily. Either just the audio, or with syncing everything (bpm/play buttons, mfx on P-6) the last one in the chain controls the final input volume, but otherwise you can control all the sounds separately. I believe they also have internal side chain compression.

@@Mronerex I covered that in a longer video about making your first beat. Basically, click [pattern], then scroll to a blank page with the tempo wheel. By default, banks 2-3-4 (1-16 each) are all empty.
