Persona 3, the revolutionary game that would go on to change the trajectory of the franchise forever, introducing ideas and setting precedents that would end up becoming series staples. I love this game, with Persona 3 Reload being my second favorite video game ever, and even then it’s more of a 1A, 1B type of situation with Persona 5 Royal. I say Reload specifically because I don’t particularly enjoy the gameplay of Fes but that’s a whole can of worms that I refuse to open. Despite my problems with Fes, I came out of that game loving the cast of amazing characters and incredible story that hits home so hard it still makes me a bit uncomfortable at times. It’s very easy to see why this game was originally so successful and about a year after its release that success spawned a manga serialization. I went into this manga with high hopes and as you can tell by the title, they were not quite met. Today I will be talking about the Persona 3 manga and why it’s an extremely conflicting adaptation for me.
