9-Line CAS Briefing ArmA3
Переглядів 12 тис.9 років тому
This video is a lesson how to call in an 9-line close air support brief I am a LCpl in the 15th MEU ArmA3 realism unit. www.15thmeu.net/forums/ if you have any questions feel free to ask and check out my other videos enjoy!
what is the name of this simulation app ??
Arma 3
Thank you , great training tool. I'm a new TACP in training. This really helped me out alot. Gung Ho !!
Line two is wrong. Line two is the heading from the aircraft holding point to the target. The final attack heading can be set in the remarks.
Final attack heading should be in restrictions.
I was wondering, how does the Pilot know where the BP and IP are?
For IP. It's as simple as slewing your pod to the grid let's say 055123 is IP Foxtrot, you would slew your tgt pod to it and you would be able to follow that to it or the JTAC can mark it on the map for you. For BP it's roughly the same.
Very good video, even relevant for "real life" Jtac trainees
Hey im actually in a JFO course right now and id love to get in on this to help out for traning how do i join one of these?
Great video! Clear and precise. Thanks for spending the time to share this
Thanks man this really helped I’m doing JTAC for the first time in a unit this really helped great job
Here we see an in game example ua-cam.com/video/tptMaP0iwdw/v-deo.html
My man, is this a game, an app, or something else? I need something like this so I can do some training at home...please hit me up, I am very interested.
Arma 3. you can check the 15th MEU. they're a milsim group
At 6:19 you said anything **less than 5 meters**. Would this not be considered unacceptably close for CAS ( in the real world)?
Einsatzgruppen Commander real world less than 5 meters is fratricide with almost any munition. Danger close is determined by the munition itself and if Friendlies are within that danger close distance then yes the JTAC and shooter will need commanders approval before giving clearance
This is all wrong
Care to elaborate?
We are primarily infantry and our 9-line are simple due to most of our pilots being regular joes who don’t do this in real life Obviously DCS units will do it better because DCS is an air focused game whereas Arma 3 is infantry
Also considering all Sgts have to learn this (which is why I’m here I’m a new Sgt) we keep it simple
What is a "realism unit"?
you earn a subs Son...I'm @15th also and im an eod...:D
I thought it was Close Air Support Evacuation
Nope, so speaking of casualties you have 2 CASEVAC and MEDEVAC. And finally outside of that close air support (CAS). 1. CASEVAC- can be any aircraft with or without inflight care it's just to get that casualty to advanced care as quickly as possible. 2. MEDEVAC- is an aircraft specifically designated to transport patients to hospital and provides advanced in flight care. General rule of thumb is CASEVAC will always fly and MEDEVAC won't fly into combat. Of course everything I said is based off research and I in no way can say for certain how it works in real life, so take it for what it's worth.
I'm a few years late, but sometimes MEDEVAC will fly with an escort.
This is awesome. I'm in a new Realism Unit that just started for the Marine Raiders. Could you add me on steam to further help me out? Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks. (Steam name: TheWonderBrad)
