    Under gone this today with my therapist. First time in years, I felt like the weight of the world for a brief moment was off my shoulders. Definately a great tool to deal with anxiety and depression.

    I have always struggled with anger , resentments, and unforgiveness. I have been working on it with a therapist and 12 step sponsor, and it is getting better. I was told that resentments only hurt you, not the wrongdoers. I had to write down my resentments and how they affected me to see the damage to motivate me to let go. I also had to write down my part in the resentments so I could see where i was in the wrong, make amends, change behaviors, build my character and reconcile relationships if appropriate. Obviously there are some situations you don't play a part like if you were abused. I really get into psychology and human behavior so I like to understand why people act how they do for example mental illness. It helps to have compassion on them and to wish them well. This is NOT justifying or condoning it just helps to understand, have compassion, and wish them well. Its also not good to get revenge, not only because of consequence but they will get their karma and there will be justice. If it motivates them to change and make amends be happy for them.

    This is a great meditation, but the background sound makes it hard to notice other sounds! It would be great to hold off on the music during the mindfulness of sounds

    This is available without ads on the app, which is linked in the description. The app is free, and you do not have to buy or use the headset mentioned. This meditation is in the Mindfulness section. However, it is locked until you complete the entire Basics module and the mindfulness lessons proceeding it. I worked on it for a few minutes a day for a few days until I got to it. Because I found the program to be valuable, I actually worked at it, rather than whizzing through it. When you do it on the app, the “return to your smart phone“ comment at the end makes sense. 😊

    It was nice but I don't think it's appropriate to say "without judging, see if it feels good or bad" because that in itself is judging. I would just say "see what you notice"

    • @billyruegger
      @billyruegger 11 місяців тому

      “Without judging if it feels good or bad” is what she said. She is indeed asking us to see if we can let go of judging. Just an example of how different meanings can be drawn from the same phrase in our English language.

    Great meditation for busy days when you still want some time to relax. Or simply don't feel like doing a full meditation or even 5 minutes feels like to long. Also great for people who start with meditation!

    The thing is I feel like I have to change those thoughts, they cause me high levels of anxiety making it impossible to concentrate on anything sometimes

    • @L0vergirlari
      @L0vergirlari Рік тому

      hello, you can change your mindset, when a thought makes you physically anxious, that alerts the brain that it’s important. So try to keep calm if you feel anxious don’t jump up and fitter simply just let it be and let the thought pass. you can do this with meditation. you can start reading self help books, watching motivational videos, listening to positive affirmations and just staying positive. When that thought comes around let it pass and then say out loud or in your head “I rebuke and cancel out negativity for i am a positive being”

    • @Jontheinternet
      @Jontheinternet Рік тому

      The first step to changing your thoughts is accepting and acknowledging them. Let them be there. Try asking "can I just be ok with how I feel or think in this moment?"
