Shadow freddy could be a vengeful good guy: -He doesn't harm anyone in 2 -His actions in 3 directly lead to william getting springlocked -If he's the reason michael goes through 4 it could be to get revenge over what he did to crying child -He clearly enjoys torturing william in ucn So shadow freddy could very well be the vengeful agony creature of one of the kids while shadow bonnie more directly helps the kids by contributing to the happiest day minigames Crying child's memories affect reality and we see two examples in fnaf 2 He sees a broken toy foxy and this leads to the kids who interacted with the real toy foxy to break them apart too He sees a toy chica figure withouth her beak and this leads to the real toy chica to also remove it And we know this isn't how they were built, fnaf 2 makes it clear that toy foxy was broken by children It's either a massive coincide in a game that scott claimed had no meaningless details, dream theory which scott has mocked at various points and is most likely not canon or we are meant to see that crying child's memories affected reality when he died and shattered His memory of pigtails girl could also be what led william to design baby like her but it could also be that pigtails girl is elizabeth Fnaf world is crying child's happiest day while the fnaf 3 happiest day is cassidy's Some people like to use the fact that it's a mirrored version of crying child's birthday to say otherwise but if you'll notice crying child's counterpart is charlie, not fredbear Charlie is in between cassidy and the other four while crying child is "in between" fredbear and michael and his friends The yellow eyes dialogue from fnaf world reads to me more like crying child is expected to help out with the happiest day minigames rather than be freed by them unless i'm remembering wrong And if he does help out that would be why charlie is positioned as his counterpart Also, according to some people in chat, "summer job" is just texan slang for a temporary job so fnaf 1 and 2 aren't literally summer jobs And finally: Go read madesuki's network theory and their whole blog while you're at it

For those watching later... The chat discussion about summer jobs is that in Texas, where Scott is from, a Summer Job is used interchangeably with a Temp Job, as supported by the Fnaf 1 game description. Therefore, Fnaf 2's location wasn't necessarily open during the Summer. I was not one to point this out on stream.

Also the FNaF 2 drawings could've just been reused, before you bring up mangle there's a mangle toy in Elizabeth's room in FNaF 4, i do believe it was definitely the unwithereds however but i don't think Scott put in that much effort to give Drawings lore meaning especially not in FNaF 2 era

FNAF 1 is described as a Summer Job in it's Steam Description, despite the game being set in November. FNAF 2 is also set in November and called a Summer Job. So either there's a double paradox, OR Scott is just using a a different definition of Summer Job. He's using it to mean 'Temp Job', which is very common in many dialects of English, especially Southern and Texan dialects(they call all Soda/Pop 'Coke' too). It was also more common back in the day, Scott is older than most FNAF fans. This wasn't a clue or a mistake, it's just Scott using his dialect term for Temp Job and not realizing it would cause an issue until too late as people only noticed this in FNAF 3 era.

The FNaF 1 paycheck says November, not summer.... Just sayin...

but also like, holy crap what a great stream. Ive always been a believer in the idea that its through dialogue that we can reach the truth, so i get excited whenever fnaf theorists do these like... socratic-method (?) style streams where they can discuss back and forth about their own theories since the others can share crucial info that the other one isnt taking into account and stuff. Going out on a limb to say that Scott started planning ahead right after ucn. Maybe a bit later, but I really think Scott locked in when he was experimenting with the book stories. He just conveys his story to the people making the products in a reeeeeeeallly odd way.

What if shadow freddy comes from employee springlock victims? They had to listen to Afton when they were living, and now do so when they're dead.

My interpretation of the Shadow Animatronics is the following: Animatronics whose names are random letters (RWQ and XOR) seem to be benevolent and to take the form of the animatronic that helped someone face agony (Dee Dee helped Cassidy during FNaF World & Springbonnie was the only animatronic Dave wasn't scared of) While animatronics whose names use the word shadow (Shadow Freddy and Shadow Mangle) seem to be malevolent and to take the form of the animatronic that was the source of someone's agony (Fredbear was the animatronic which made Michael remember his murder of Dave & Mangle was the animatronic which bit Jeremy Fitzgerald) I will then explain what I think to be the origin of each of them: For RWQFSFASXC: RWQFSFASXC assists David in accessing Happiest Day. It symbolizes Spring Bonnie, the only animatronic David liked and didn’t have nightmares about (yes there's Plushtrap but he is way less intimidating than the other Nightmares, and he's the only one not to be called a Nightmare, but a plush). It's the animatronic - in a parallel with his father - he may have imagined himself as in duo with his Fredbear plush (if William used the plush as a camera, it's David who made it talk as it was his only friend against Michael’s torment). In this way, SpringBonnie represents the only thing that gave David hope, even amidst the Agony he endured: Imagining himself as being part of a duo with his plush Fredbear. For XOR: XOR aids Cassidy in keeping William trapped in UCN and she is a reskin of Dee Dee, one of the only three original animatronics from FNaF World to neither be playable nor aggressive. To me, FNaF World symbolizes Cassidy rallying the spirits to help bring peace to David by making Happiest Day happen (so it takes place before and during UCN, as in it only Cassidy and Charlotte remain). In FNaF World, Dee Dee provides access to the only canon minigame (the Halloween Update is not cannon), a fishing minigame - probably paralling Old Man Consequences' one in UCN - which can grant us one of the only two special bytes of the game (the other being the Fan you get from obtaining every party member). Thus, Dee Dee was one of the few things to help Cassidy keep hope in being able to let David find peace, to end the Agony William created. For Shadow Freddy: Shadow Freddy helps William dismantling the animatronics in Follow Me and shares its name with Nightmare in FNaF 4 's files, the only Agony-based entity to have some sort of jumpscare with Shadow Mangle. To me, Nightmare isn't like the other Nightmares, as he is not an illusion caused by gas on an empty shell (he doesn't even have a shell, he is translucent), but he was created by Michael’s Agony while trapped in William’s Fear Experiments. He is Shadow Freddy, and this explains why he is the final boss, he was the goal of the experiments he made on Michael: creating an Agony-based entity. When the goal was achieved, the experiments stopped. Shadow Freddy is malevolent because he was made from Micheal's Agony from being stuck in the Fear Experiments. For Shadow Mangle: Shadow Mangle similarly emerges from someone’s Agony, but in this case, it’s Jeremy's (the one from Help Wanted ). She is different from the other blacklight animatronics as he isn't just a skin for an already existing animatronics. We fight both Shadow Mangle and Mangle at the same time in their level. Just like Micheal's Agony created Shadow Freddy while he was trapped in a recreation of David's nightmares, Jeremy's Agony created Shadow Mangle while he was trapped in a recreation of Scott's games. And the parallel goes further as both were stuck there and couldn't escape because of William, or a mimicry of him. The fact Mangle was chosen to be the expression of Jeremy's Agony could even reference that she was the one to make Fnaf 2 's Jeremy suffer by biting him (TWB tells us it's some form of Foxy that made the Bite of '87). Shadow Mangle is malevolent because he was made from Jeremy's Agony from being stuck in the Fazbear Experience. I'd be curious to hear your opinion about this
