So the card is recognized and showing signal through the control panel, but just nothing out of speakers....it sounds like a routing issue then, just double check the input and outputs and config on the panel, from memory there are also mute buttons which should not be enabled...disable any other sound devices like internal if you haven;t already.What kurzweil speakers are they? remember the julia has balanced and unbalanced connections which can be swapped, so you could try that additionally to match the speakers...you should still get some sound though regardless but something else to try.

However, I have to say that I've had zero problems when running my old Delta 1010 (breakout box version) on Windows 10. Works great, but you don't get the M-Audio control panel in the task bar. Here are some tips to get the old beast working on Windows 10.. and I'll include a few other tips after. Download the Delta 6.0.8 drivers (I believe they are Windows 7 drivers.. It's been a while). www.m-audio.com/support/download ... elta-6.0.8 In Windows 10, extract the files to a location of your choosing. Right click on Delta_6_0_8.exe file. Select Properties Click the check box in Compatibility Mode for "Run this program in compatibility mode for and select "Windows 7" from the drop down. Click Apply, then Ok. Next, Right click on the Delta_6_0_8.exe file and select "Run as Administrator". Follow the instructions. You may need to have a reboot to get the device up and running. If this forum allowed pics, I'd show a few to ease the process along. Please note that I haven't performed this operation since Windows 10 came out, so I may be mistaken. If this doesn't work, try running in Compatibility for Windows 8 (eeew, I know). I'm a fan of this audio setup. I did my first awesome professional sounding recordings on it, so I hope those of you who still have the old machines with PCI can make use of this info. Good luck. Nothing special needed, its a 12v external power brick...As long as the korg or similar center negative power adapter matches your country voltage your good.

I would double check your connections on the battery holder you installed and make sure they are correct and also that nothing has come loose.It worked fine for a year and then possibly when you installed a new battery again perhaps one of the solder joints may have dislodged or possibly check your battery holder for any issues making contact properly.I'm sure you know this but it must be a 2032 battery, If that does not fix the problem i would follow the voltage traces on the board and see where they go .i would suspect a capacitor next if there is one in line from the battery, i can't recall off hand but let me know how you go.you can send me a high resolution picture of your board to aclstands@protonmail.com

they may or may not properly support it, i can't say for sure on windows 11 because most of the old pci cards will work on vista and win 7 with official drivers up until those OS but i was running old M-Audio cards on win 10 no issues but they were a bit flaky with the occasional bsod.that being said i would probably look at the ESI juli@ card with official windows 11 drivers or even some of the other ESI cards like say the maya 44 they have official support for win 10 so that would be your best bet and usually cheaper than the juli@ cards.Other than that i can't say what other cards are supported with win 11 properly apart from other high end stuff if i recall the lynx audio stuff has current support as well but pricey.

Great stuff man..its' crazy there is official ESi drivers still going for windows 11!

Its in your global menu, you can select what original preset banks you want...you can choose Pre A or Pre B just load that and you are restored.

Apologies that's all the cards i had at the time, the other M-Audio cards you mentioned are excellent cards as well, i never owned those ones but i remember reading about the 1010's everywhere back in the day.These early M-Audio cards should be written into the history books because they pretty much were an affordable music studio in a sound card but it was the starting point for so many of us for professional audio production later.

hello I also have a 1212m but with an old windows 7...what kind of tinkering does it take to put it in a newer pc with windows 10...?..

excellent advice there :) one thing i noticed with these mackie mixers is the buttons always get crap in them and for some reason its always the selector button row for the monitoring which is on the signal path output.the dust just seems to go right down into them.

I had 1616M, recaped all the big capacitors to decent Rubycon capacitors(only Mouser, Digikey etc., ebay aliexpress are fake caps) and it sounded so good. Very low jitter and proper clean sound. Right now i have 1820M, also some mods like capacitors, output caps on one output bridged, the sound skyrocketed after capacitors, not even funny. I had those Focusrite 2i2 and some other like UM22 and Gina but this is no joke and i'll get another for backup. Recapping is a must to high class caps. In short, get another!

The win7/8 driver the last official driver I found on their website, obviously still working.thanks that's good to know.i had mine working on a win 7 machine so didn't test it.a lot of win 7 cards work on win 10 and 11 with an older driver, some better than others.

The 1212m sounds very clean an accurate and is comparable to the motu and the rme units of the similar specs.

I'm trying to get some similar price RME like Multiface II to compare with 1820M

Great to hear the 1820m is still working, i had my 1212m working fine in win 10 so that's unreal still going...i have a dedicated offline Win 7 music machine now with the 1212m but awesome to hear about this thanks for commenting and letting us know.

It does have a filter, just no resonance

Your right and should have mentioned it has only lp filter on the voices but still filtering nonetheless and lacks self-oscillation, it actually does have emulated resonance which is basically not worth mentioning.the colour parameter does kind of work but nothing special.

@@ACLStands yeah. I have an NS5R and it's kinda not all that good when compared to my SD-80. I do also have a D-110, which, while worse in many ways, still gives me lots of inspiration whenever I use it

@@autumnbrushtail the d-110 is awesome.i think there is a good software editor out there for it too.a lot of people overlook those units, and focus on the more flagship units like the jv1080s on the Roland's or the triton on the korg side of things.Even though I own the triton rack it's the least used synth.the M1r is a beauty as well..I sold that ages ago but just bought the legacy version..highly recommended.

@@ACLStandsYeah, The best editor I've seen for the D-110 is Patch Base, but that's only available for Apple devices. I've been using EMagic's old soundDiver instead. it still works on Windows 11, which is nice. Maybe Edisyn is better, but I kinda don't like it for some reason, just felt too clunky and stuff. The SD-80 is quite the diamond in the rough honestly. It shares its synth engine with the XV-5080 and has next to nothing taken out in how it works... except that the only way to use it is through the official software editor. It's fine, very similar to the XV-5080 VST, but just way more clunky and dated for obvious reasons. I would love to get a better, more modern software editor for that, but I'm not a programmer, nor UI designer, so I'm not the person to ask for that.
