Flow & Pressure in Pipes Explained through System & Pump Curves (Process Engineering)
In this video, we will explain the basics of fluid mechanics and how to use system and pump performance curves to predict the flow rate and pressure / pressure drop in a piping & Process system during operation in Urdu / Hindi languages.
We will use some key concepts, such as flow, pressure, pipe, system, pump, valve, fittings, losses, energy, and head. We will also explain the difference between centrifugal and positive displacement pumps curves.
Next, we will show you the real application of Bernoulli’s principle and equation to analyze the flow and pressure in a piping system. We will use examples of gravity flow, Centrifugal & PD Pump and pressurized tank Systems to illustrate the concept.
Then, we will teach you how to use system and pump performance curves to select the best pump for your system. We will explain what system curve are, pump performance curve, H-Q curve, efficiency curve, power consumption curve, and family curve. We will also show you how to find the operating point of the pump, and how to adjust it by changing the speed, impeller diameter, or valve position.
We will also see some demonstrate of Pipe Flow Expert, a software tool that can help you design and optimize your piping system.
