can you get partnered like this as well?
According to Unkle Dan Clancy, these numbers count towards your partner push. I haven't been able to verify that yet though.
Does this work for Xbox. Me and my hb are trying to do this but he’s on ps5 and I’m on Xbox but we both have laptops so idk if it would work or not?
Unfortunately no, not at this time.
Great vid well explained thank you for it
@@melw5257 thank you! I hope it helped
Hey, much enjoyed the video🙌! I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I could help you create a better distribution by working on post-production like better storytelling through Edits, Keywords, think catchy intros, even clipping out shorts! Would love to chat if you're interested and keep creating good content:)
can this work if a player is on console?
@@kingword8512 unfortunately no, not right now. You have to use an open broadcast software
Good stuff
Thank you very much. I'm happy I could help!
Thank you!
My pleasure! I hope it helped.
quick question. is there a way to remove bots from shared collabs in the chat. I like see the other chats from my friends im streaming with but I have auto commands and nightbot that sends messages. is there a ways to not have those show up on my friends stream chat?
@@vexedmum9389 Hi! Those messages should only be seen by you the streamer. If not, I would check the settings on the bot you're using and see if they allow you to make an adjustment. I know Sery Bot bans someone without anyone knowing.
Can you game screen share others stream?
Hey! I just want to be clear about what you're asking. In this scenario, you and a friend are gaming correct? Different games I assume? And you want him to share his screen while you both play different games? Yes, you can do that. Twitch offers a separate Screen Share Browser Source and all the guest has to do is click "share screen" and if you have the browser source added to your broadcasting software, you will see it just like you see them in another window. I hope this helps!
@techsupportnextdoor my girl and I play cod and wanted to stream together. She's on console and I'm on PC.
@@lux_satani from what I understand, at this moment, Stream Together does not work from the console unfortunately. But, they are committed to making this option as accessible as possible.
@@techsupportnextdoor 😊 thanks
hey @techsupportnextdoor ! thank you so much for your video! I do have one thing I'm still confused about... no matter who the host is or the guest, do all parties share viewers or do they all go to the host? I have a friend trying to help me grow my channel but I can't seem to find the answer to that question. Thanks for your time!
Heyhey! If you are both streaming you are only able to combine the chats, NOT the viewers. Your viewer count will be separate from your guest or vice versa. I hope this helps! Thanks for the question ❤️
Thank you sir
My pleasure. Just happy to help!
Can you still do this if you and the person you want to stream with don’t have or want to use a camera or a microphone? My sibling and I are new to streaming and not totally comfortable using a camera or a microphone yet.
Yes you can, but the point of stream together is to collab with another person meaning the audience will either hear you or see you interact with someone else. Otherwise, they can just type in the chat lol. I hope that helps!
Good question
THANK YOU! This was a very helpful tutorial and I feel more confident setting up and using this feature of stream together. 👏🏾
@@djcandib1495 thank you so much! I'm just happy I could help.
How do I add it to streams labs I’m in stream labs and my friends in obs I’m so confused
@@Lameipadgirl Don't worry! I'm here to help lol. The only thing you need to remember is that it uses a browser source to work. Copy your browser source url from Stream Together and paste it into a new browser source in whatever scene you want it to be in. The same goes for your friend. Same process.
I need your helppppopp😭😭😭😭😭
13k views 97 subs? this poor man 😢
Lol did the video at least help you a little bit?
Thank u
You are very welcome! I'm just happy I could help.
Honestly, this is one of the most straightforward videos I've seen about Twitch I definitely had to hit that subscribe appreciate the help🙌🙌
Thank you very much! I'm glad I was able to help.
Everyone in this goes live individually right? For our DnD stream we use discord so we really don’t need the browser source. I’m just trying to get shared engagement with the two of us who do stream. I tried it once so far but I don’t know if it worked because I thought chat would have been merged.
If you are in stream together, you will see the hosts chat. Mr. Clancy just discussed a new collaboration tool he called "Drop-ins" that would merge the chats, but it's not out yet. You have a choice to go live individually or the host would go live and if your guests checked the box before entering the session, their audience would get a notification that they've gone live with the host.
@@techsupportnextdoor thanks. I’ll need to look for a place to give feedback because it would be nice if the backstage or stream manager had a little more feedback to let us know if it’s working. I think this will be a great tool for all collab streamers.
@@ReinQuest absolutely. Interestingly, before you end stream together, Twitch asks for your feedback on it. Maybe you can submit your ideas there.
Why can’t I see my guests camera ? It’s just showing their avatar
@@Lumos7 it sounds like your guest needs to turn their camera on
@@techsupportnextdoor it’s on, I’m actually configuring both ends . Host is on a remote pc
Guest is pushed, camera on everything as it should be
Ohh nvm i figured it out there was another tab open blocking the session some how . So it’s working now 😒
@@techsupportnextdoor back with another question. How do i get the guest to hear my audio ? I used the feature yesterday but couldnt figure it out so they had to listen to the stream to hear what i was saying, but that resulted in delays so the conversation couldnt flow. I tried enabling my mic backstage so they could here but that did nothing. any ideas?
Good stuff! Thx
Thank YOU! I'm glad to hear it helped
Thanks for the great video 👏 Couple of questions. My friend and I want to back-to-back DJ on Twitch together. Do I use the OBS virtual camera or add a browser source to OBS? Regarding audio, I’m DJ’ing through monitor speakers on my desktop. How do I listen to his audio without feedback? Will that be coming through my speakers also? Hope that’s clear! Thanks again. 👍
Hey! Alright, so I want to make sure I understand. You want to DJ side-by-side with your friend. Do you need to use the virtual camera? Yes. That's how the audience will see what you see in OBS. The browser source is for your friend. Bring them onto your OBS and you can set them up next to you. Remember, the audience can only hear them when the eye is open on the source. Now, If you want to add a little razzle dazzle, when your friend connects through the browser source, tell them to setup their green screen behind them, if they have one, but don't turn on the chroma key. You will place a chroma key on the source from your end in OBS and then you will really be in the same room, visually. Second question, the only way to listen to stream audio without feedback is to listen to the stream through headphones. You can also mute your mic whenever they speak but that gets old pretty quick lol. I hope this helps! Please update me.
Thanks !!
Happy to help!
17:05 you end the stream. How do you start the stream? I tried clicking stream together at the top right but it doesn't work
Hey! Thanks for watching the video. The key thing about this is that you start streaming from your broadcasting software. So once you click start streaming in OBS or Streamlabs, then you're on. Remember this is to connect two separate streams together, so that means adding the browser source to your broadcasting software and setting up the visuals for the stream.
you're a really good presenter
thank you so much! sorry for the late response. I hope this helped you
Thanks man. My 69 year old mom just started streaming world of warcraft and did it all her own. So proud. She wants me to stream too with her as a guest. I've never streamed before but this will help us. ❤
Let me know when that happens! I'd like to support if I can.
Thank you for this! I was so confused how to make this work. Excited to finally stream with my best friend with clear audio and video!!
I'm happy to be able to help! I'm going to update this video because Twitch has made a few updates to the service. Stay tuned!
I have a predicament which I can't seem to figure out. During my live streams, using OBS, I'm getting feedback loop on twitch live video. I have my friend with whom I'm using 'stream together' function on twitch. I say 'hi' and then my friend hears is a bit later. I'm aware some delay is natural on twitch (couple of seconds). Then my friend hears himself talking with a continuous echoes. Alas, how does one stream on OBS to twitch, have a friend join the live and not get an echoes or feedback delay which stacks. Even though we are in the same 'stream lobby', he is watching from my page (live stream), naturally. Otherwise he couldn't see my live gameplay. I want real time audio as if we were in discord, whilst he is viewing my live stream. Thanks for taking the time to read and assist me. All the best, M
Alright so I believe the issue is in a few settings. If you go into the microphone settings uncheck Noise Suppression and Echo Cancellation because it sounds like you're using hi quality microphones. Second, you have to use the virtual camera so that he can see your gameplay. If there's a delay, it's because your friend is trying to watch the stream instead of listening to the audio from you in Stream Together. Your friend also shouldn't be hearing himself talking. The only way that happens is if you have the stream unmuted on another tab, which is unnecessary. Check these settings, test it, then reach back out to me and let me know if that fixed it. I hope this helps!
@@techsupportnextdoor Hi Brother, i just saw. I will test and get back to you. Thank you for writing to me! M
"This is for the nerds" got an instant like on the video. Got a good laugh, thanks!
Hahahahaha thanks. I hope the video helped!
Good job, dude!
I have a question bro my co host cannot hear my elgato stream deck sounds on stream together but my audience can, is there a way I can fix it?
Sorry for the delay in responding to your comment. I missed it, no excuse. I have noticed this and the question is if the elgato stream deck sound is routed to your main audio or a separate channel. Virtual Camera shares your main screen that everyone sees, but it doesn't share your audio. So, check and see if the audio is desktop audio capture and how it's routed on the stream deck. I think the stream deck audio is desktop audio. If that's the case, your guest won't hear it. The same thing happens in Streamyard. Let me know if this helps!
Will it work with obs?
Yes, it's designed to.
@@techsupportnextdoor thank you
Hey G Class is this applicable to console twitch streamers. I currently stream from PS5 to twitch and want to implement this is available
So, I had to do a little bit of research on this question before I answered it. You cannot host a Stream Together session from CURRENTLY. It's still in beta so they haven't added that option yet. Now, can you JOIN someone's Stream Together session from your PS5? I don't know lol. But, I believe you can. The requirement is to have a Twitch account, which you have already. So essentially, if someone is hosting a session and sends you an invite, you should be able to join them. I would assume though that you would not have control over things like your camera and microphone in the session, so keep that in mind. Try it out and let me know what happens!
You're a cool guy. Just for will to help.
Thanks. I'm just happy that it helped!
can i do that with OBS?
Absolutely. It was made for it.
Thx! Nice Video. I love your calm and stedy voice. Greatings from Schland.
Thank you very much and you're welcome! Happy I could help.
Thank you
You're very welcome. Just happy I could help.
Last year I said I wish I could figure out how to stream WITH a friend or hubby and you could see both gameplays and now look Voila! I attempted it last night, a little confusing but I have try again. My big struggle is - is having OBS (type) required? Bc I already am struggling with setting up obs with capture card and crap ON a mac 😓
I'm very happy I was able to be helpful! Stream Together works BEST or EASIEST with OBS, but you can use it with StreamLABs. There are videos that explain how to use a CAPTURE CARD with OBS, and then Stream Together is a simple Browser Source. Take your time. You got this!
Appreciate the video!
So happy to hear this helped!
Dude thank you so much for this super helpful.
I'm so glad I could help! That was the goal for sure!

Great video so far! I didn't watch it all yet as it doesn't support opera D: Anyone know when this might be the case?
I looked it up and haven't found anything on that. Does Opera support webcams?
how do you start it tho??
That's a very broad question 😀 If you are the host, you will use your broadcasting software (i.e. OBS or Streamlabs) and Start Streaming. If you are a guest, you will go into the hosts Steaming Together session from the link they send you.
Incredibly informative video! Thank you so much for taking the time to create this. I have a question that I haven’t found an answer for yet. Can a guest also stream and invite you to guest on their stream at the same time? Meaning both channels are live at the same time hosting each other.
Thank you! So glad I could help you! As far as your question, I found this AFTER I made the video but Twitch has a Stream Together GUEST Guide and they "say" that you can do exactly what you're asking. I have plans to test it in the next week or so, but until then, here's the link: help.twitch.tv/s/article/stream-together-guest-guide?language=en_US
Thank you!
My pleasure! I hope this helps you.
Thanks for this! I am going to try Twitch's "Stream Together" feature for the first time on NYE. Your video came up as one of the first videos on my search on UA-cam.
I'm very happy to hear that! I hope this helps you with your streaming journey. It's pretty fun!
Who reads this anyway?? I always do and it’s used for SEO
Thank you. I typed that as a joke 😆 Happy to hear the video found you. I hope it helps. I really think Twitch is on to something with this.
Somehow your video showed up in my UA-cam feed.. That’s good for you that UA-cam is out there referring your videos for this being your first video
I know right! I guess my UA-cam University education is working 😀
Informative!
