I'm wondering if I'm the only one who will keep simple discussion topics in their own seperate boxes and they will only be opened when she asks what I'm thinking becsause it's easier than trying to explain about the nothing box. Some of these subjects will be decided upon hours in advance but kept specifically for this function. They're not urgent or important, otherwise they will be opened straight away.

I don’t have inner dialogue and I am a woman. I think mostly in pictures and sometimes words. My brain can go silent so I can’t relate.

When my mouth opens, the box my husband puts me in is "fighting". Nothing i say after that is heard. The last sentence after my whole speech would be " U say whatever u want. I don't want to fight".

One thing that doesn't get addressed in this is, what happens when you *force us* to have several boxes open at once and they start spilling into each other. We can't focus, and get very, *very* tired. We could actually fall asleep in the middle of the conversation, but instead our defense mechanisms kick in and we just... stop listening. This is why google, for example, has an adult playground and all kinds of amenities that you will never find in any other workplace... It is to allow their employees to free their mind because sometimes when you think of nothing, the most brilliant ideas will come to you and they will be something...
