    It's a lot simpler than that, Counsel. Don't go to law school because There Are No Jobs for most new law school grads, and frankly an awful lot of experienced lawyers are jobless as well, and end up leaving the field and taking up another profession that does not involve practicing law. The job market for JD's is profoundly oversaturated and has been for many years. There are 11 Law Schools in Florida, 10 in Pennsylvania, 8 in Virginia, and so on. It is wildly unrealistic to think you can find a job as a lawyer without difficulty in a state where 10 or more entire classes of JD's graduate each May. For all of these reasons, many jobless JD's end up doing "Temporary Document Review Projects" that pay as little as $22.00 per hour, after spending around $200,000 and three years of their life getting a law degree and taking and passing the Bar Exam and getting sworn in. It's a big, very risky mistake--don't do it. Don't fall for The Law School Scam.

    • @barcastLaw
      @barcastLaw 2 місяці тому

      I think some of this depends upon when you graduated and the labor market you entered into! There has been a real need for young associates in many of the fields I work in over the past 5 years as legal jobs have somehow outpaced law school grads in that time. With that said, I know many older attorneys who entered the job market around the time of the 08 recession whose experience was completely different. Much of this is outside the control of law students and they're left at the whim of an ever retracting and expanding job market with little hope of having any real control of their job prospects beyond scoring well on their exams and hoping they get lucky enough to land a job!

    • @criminallaw9573
      @criminallaw9573 2 місяці тому

      @@barcastLaw Pretending that there's a "real need for young associates" in a state with 11 law schools is absolutely hilarious. You should go into stand-up comedy. IRL, however, 150 applications for a low-status, low-paying job at the Public Defender's Office is the norm. That's why licensed attorneys are willing to work for as little as $22.00 per hour doing "Temporary Document Review Projects". Prison guards with a GED earn far more than those lawyers. . .the JD is so worthless that it is referred to as a "Scarlet Letter" for employers, and many law school grads take it off their resumes.

    • @criminallaw9573
      @criminallaw9573 Місяць тому

      @@barcastLaw In normal professions, people don't spend 7Y studying and then "hope they get lucky enough to land a job" afterwards. People who study Nursing for 2Y get tons of job offers with good pay and cash bonuses. There are lots, and lots of fields that need workers, going into one where you have to hope to be lucky enough to find a job is insane. . .

    Same in any modern learning situation. If you know what to listen and look for, you are basically being told early on, exactly what you need to know…it’s often buried, but it’s there. Uncovering the rubies in the mountain of rocks is the pivotal skill. Every other skill comes after that.

    So there are no points awarded for discussing remedy or SoF? Like we don’t have to discuss how salesman can purchase the $14 widgets and sue the manufacturer for the difference via breach of contract? Or we don’t mention any of that because it is not in the call of the question?

    • @barcastLaw
      @barcastLaw 4 місяці тому

      SoF isn't implicated by the call of the question. Sometimes it's worth it to add a short sentence referencing a rule you think may apply if only to increase your chance of landing some lucky points. Here, you MIGHT get a point or two for that SoF analysis, but it generally wouldn't be necessary to get maximum points here and would likely be wasted time given the time restraints.

    A lot of the reason is probably because most of these kids come from very well off financial backgrounds grounds and have never had to actually work towards anything. The whole time I went to college I also worked for a company that built in ground pools. There were TWO guys on my crew. I have never worked harder in my life. I kept a picture of an in ground pool on the wall above my desk at home and after a 15-16 hour day of back breaking work I had that picture to remind me to keep working hard on my school work. Then I got smart. I dropped out of college cause it’s a COMPLETE waste of time and money and learned a trade. The point of all my blathering is people (especially young people) most likely won’t work hard at things if they absolutely don’t have to. If they came from a life of money and comfort and eating every day they don’t have any real point of reference.

    • @barcastLaw
      @barcastLaw 5 місяців тому

      Plenty of people who are not from privileged backgrounds take the Bar Exam each year. It's more about people overestimating their ability to study without direction.

    When i took the exam back in 1990 (yes, in ancient), i believe California had the second most difficult, testing on 12 or 13 different types of law. New York tested on 33. At the time, New York had a 65% pass rate, by far the most difficult in the country. I did pass on my first try, though that accomplishment was somewhat undercut by the fact, on his sixth or seventh try, JFK, Jr. also passed the same exam!

Use audio/video when walking the pups, or driving anywhere, even for 10 minutes, listen while showering, while cooking, ALL THE TIME.

    Bout the only thing I truly believe I know about the MBE. I was born and raised on a dead-end street in Califorscum! The late singer Lou Rawls could attest to me above'nikiname'. Hollywood, of & the music industry of cold blooded. Moreover, the sick no talent sleazy tie me down talent sucks jail time for a few law professors responsible. Truly Hollywood many.no doubt, lacky talents. It has been recorded & filmed by some of the art that has been so sick & unconstitutional stricken from. I wonder what kind of Orgainzed Crime did it take, in the last 50 years, to get away with it in the Oval Office? Not to mention BJ's H House, Madam hair dye?. Maybe if America succeeds in hanging the mess, jealousy envy & greed have gotten the US into. The Dope 💰. Might not defeat America's standing.. Yours Truly, Trouble, so don't miss
