If you have the room overdo the solar and keep the batteries minimal. Panels are cheaper and last 30 years batteries only 10

Down here in Tampa our biggest concern is those non existent trails that get sprayed everyday. Hopefully they will be banned shortly. The powers that be are still going thru the process on that in Fl. Great video you got to have heat in Minnesota. Anyway you can make that happen. I keep adding to my solar every year as well. It sure came in handy after that Milton hurricane.

I bought my X739 Sep 24’ with 54” Auto Connect deck, 47” snowblower with quick connect and weather enclosure. I have an acre and it uses about the same amount of gas as my previous X584 with a 48” deck. I also have the Merit Engineering electric chute actuator. It is expensive, but it is awesome!!

does that snowblower have that retched plastic impeller?...the x739 is the best lawn tractor out there...my uncle has the older x729 and im always borrowing it so i dont have to use the cub cadet ZT2 that breaks my back on the 1.25 acre of bumpy yard with many trees...not to mention the 18 deg hill i have to mow is so much safer on the tractor its downright scary on the ZT...its also the 62in and the ZT is a 50in so it takes 40 min off the time...id also want the htd glass cab and snowblower seeing as i live in WNY with the lake effect and a 250ft drive...but id change that plastic flat impeller...for 4700 a snowblower should not have that...idk why they dont just have pronovost make them for JD...much better blower...i wonder if a front 3 pt hitch can be found for these x700s?

Would like to have something similar on at the same time with the blower to scrape behind the blower for what the blower rides over or misses. As the scraper blade on the blower never seems to do a good clean up scrape job. The issue would be the PTO shaft underneath being in the way. Very nice fabrication work. That’s the fun stuff.

I will say that your belly blade turned out very well. That's perfect for quick cleaning of your driveway after a 5 to 8 inches of snow comes down. Any day that you don't have to pick up a snow shovel is a good day. Great video...thank you for sharing how you built it.

John Deere makes a 60" mid mount blade as an attachment, even has hydraulic angle. Not real good for deep snow. But you have 4WD.

Nice work. When you can find the old JD 60” mid mount grader blade for the original X-Series, they are pretty pricey since not many were sold. Your version looks every bit as good and looks like it does a good job too for a fraction of the cost. It pays to be handy! Thanks for sharing.

The blade works but am wondering if it is going to be very useful to remove snow when that is the job needing to be done after a snow storm. Might be good for landscaping and leveling ground. Good fabrication and design for a belly blade.

I bought a Harbor Freight 7X 12 lathe. I have used several of Little Machine Shop's parts including their 16 inch bed. Fantastic people to do business with and great part selections with fair prices!

The ring roller function (the grooves at the edges of the top rollers) are for wire/tubing. You might be able to straighten the tubes that way.

U should turn the top horizontal 180 degrees. The bolts to the splice kit should be facing down towards the ground, not up to the sky.

What's the ROI? It's when the Grid shuts down during a storm and loose all the food in the refrigerators and those who use a cpap machine will have a harder time sleeping.

Did you happen to look into doing this same set up with an electric dryer with some type of switch to be able to just cut power to the heating element when the boiler is heating it and use it on electric when you want .. wasn't sure if you looked into what fault circuits would Trip

I use a chair on the bottom of the panel to install mine or clamps to keep it secure so it could be done solo. Did you use the Brightmount Rail Extension kit to fit the Panels? I thought about putting 560 watt Bifacials on mine (Sungoldpower) I was debating what would be easier to lay out tarp underneath it before or after? I don't want grass to grow underneath it and the reflective properties is a plus

Better to run conduit…then you can run whatever wire you need to at a later date without digging again

I clicked on the video because I read lots of Encyclopedia Brown books. If you don't have one yet, look into the Emporia Vue energy monitors for getting data on power usage for each circuit. My electric dryer uses a lot of power when it's running, but over a month, some plant lights use more.

Hey thanks for taking the time to make these videos, I have subbed to follow your journey, we just started off with solar also with 2 x Ecoflow Delta 2 Max units and 2x 400w eco solar panels and also just ordered 2 more 550w Bifacial solar panels, we dont use much in our home but so far one D2M is running our entire kitchen, and the other D2M is running our MB where we live and work all day. I am charging my units once daily and they run all day powering most of our home. the other 2 550watt Bifacial solar panels should really help to charge up both units which are 2048wh each. I am also ordering one extra battery that should be more than enough for our small home, I am thinking of getting some extra home batteries just to have more storage room when needed but we'll see I am still doing alot of testing like you are brother. want to maximize it, I am trying to find out what is best for charging and discharging, right now I charge upto 98% and allow the batteries to power our home until they drain till 8% then I will charge on grid for a few hours, so saving alot on energy but dont know exactly how much as we just started. will keep following your journey we Pray GOD's very Best for you and your family on this Journey brother! keep them videos coming! what is your charge and discharge strategy ? any new changes you have done?

18:27 - PGE charges us 16.34 cents per KWH in Oregon. They've raised our rates twice in the past twelve months. 20:29 - That's only twenty-eight cents per watt, so you got a great deal on those 535 watt bifacial panels! Most people are happy to get their solar panels at fifty cents per watt. We are on grid and use an overall average of just over 42 KWH's of energy per day. Two people in an 1,188 square foot home.

I use the $10 and $30 charge controllers and stack them. One system has 6 of them, another system has 3, another has 4. Much cheaper.

I have the X739 with the snow blade and drive on deck. I love it. It’s a huge upgrade from the L120 I had for years. The L120 would get stuck all the time on my hilly property and it basically tore itself apart plowing. The X739 plows my driveway like a beast and doesn’t even need weights or chains. I can rip through my 1 acre yard in half the time, but I don’t see the high fuel burn that you do. The thing has a ton of power - enough to drag fallen trees. Also maintenance is easy: nice port to drain the oil, etc.
