In the rules, it says that squads "see" 360⁰. Does that mean it would not be possible to flank the enemy? Since they would technically see you because of thier 360⁰ view? Example: squad 1 behind a berm facing north. Enemy squad manievers around terrain and is able to be on the left flank of the squad. In this scenario is the enemy squad able to reactively fire?

Is the retreat move only for the unit that was attacked?

Great video series. Thanks for making it. With your homebrew rules for tanks, do you still use 2x 1d6 rolls for chance to hit and penetration? Or is it just using 3 shooting dice per tank with a neg modifier if shooting at a bigger tank than itself and +1 modifier if shooting at the rear of a tank. Do I have this right?

Lovely stuff indeed. His range of terrain features is fantastic. He does some great Dutch houses, which are otherwise rather hard to find for Arnhem scenarios. I think the STL files are deffo the way to go for his terrain. And the Govt thanks you for your £42 customs, £12 post office and £23 taxes Brexit contributions. Still, Sovrinnty, eh?

Firstly, this was an educational game that ably illustrated why a commander should prioritise manoeuvre over 'action'. This game also shows why tanks should not move as freely as infantry. The P.IV moving from centre to right flank in one turn was pivotal.

Good to see Hovels is still out there. Agree the buildings are easy to dry brush for a quick paint job. Also good to see you have a UA-cam channel. I used to check out your website but must have lost it when updating my computer 😞. Btw the resin is polyester which is why it is brittle but cheaper than the polyurethane resin most companies have been using for the last couple of decades 😁 if you are okay with it being a bit more vulnerable to knocks etc it does mean you can get more bang for your buck.

I am just finishing up my late Napoleonics project, and I know exactly what you mean - disappointed to discover they didn’t wear bearskins until after Waterloo! Love the look of your units - makes battles in 28mm scale reasonably achievable. I have also done units of 6 apiece in pairs. I have given every second unit a flag, so together in “brigades” of 12 they look the part. As they’re on sabot bases I can move the flag to the rear-right to sit in the centre when brigaded.
